An awesome place. 'n Baie lekker plek.

Out of the hustle and bustle but yet very quick and easy to get on the freeway or to a number of places where you can shop for food or other necessities. About 5km to Tyger Valley shopping centre, Willow Bridge, the Toboggan family park is close and only about 25-30minutes drive to Cape Town international airport. The room was snug for me as a solo traveler and might get small for those who want some space. Had a place to keep cold drink cold, heat something to eat and TV with netflix for those who want to watch something at night. It is quiet and now and again a plane might cruise overhead to land at the airport which I loved as I love aeroplanes. There were birds aplenty with a small family of cape pheasants that really entertained me and just added to the tranquility of the house. There is teas and coffees with milk, some fruits and muffins. It is also the first place I ever stayed over that had emergency items like headache tablets, cotton buds, cotton swabs, tampons for the ladies caught out by nature and other small items that you might have left at home. Really a well thought out place. Noellien, you are a star. Ek hoop ek kan weer by julle oorbly.

Couldn't be happier - will definitely come again

Great location in a quiet and safe area. The room is tidy and well designed. The bathroom has a lot of space and the shower is nice and big. The bed is comfy and Noellien always checked in to find out how we were doing and if we needed anything (change of sheets, toilet paper, new crockery etc). Very happy with how well we were accommodated. We were able to come and go from the property freely using a separate entrance which made moving around much easier. The room is small and compact but there are a lot of compartments to store items and clothes under the bed and next to the bed. The amenities include a small bar fridge, a microwave and an iron with an ironing board.

Noellien the host was very friendly and welcoming and made sure that I had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The snacks like muffins provided in the room were very welcome. I would definitely stay again.

Lovely stay, perfect location and the best hosts.

Very friendly reception and hosts. You felt as if you were visiting family or friends. The location is ideal to get to Blouberg / Big Bay, the Winelands, or airport. Getting to the City is fast, if you avoid the morning rush hours. And for shopping away from tourists traps, Tygervalley Mall is just around the corner. Don't forget to visit Tygerberg nature reserve to get an unforgettable view of the city, False Bay, Atlantic and mountains.

Convenient and safe overnight space

Very nice clean room with everything you need for an overnight stay. Convenient location for hospital visits. Safe parking behind gate. Coffee, tea rusks, muffins and sweets were provided.

Felt like I was home away from home

There was everything! Rusks, coffee, sugar, milk, some fruit and even two cupcakes. There were even two tampons which I was so thankful for because I ran out of mine. The lady is super nice, so is her husband. We had total privacy and a very clean room, good wifi and water was always hot. Will definitely go back again

Solo female Relaxation weekend

Everything! Die Strandloper is a hidden gem. The hostess is lovely and extremely helpfull whilst respecting your privacy. The room is so beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, extremely clean and comfortable. I was treated to complimentary coffee, cappuccino, tea and the most delicious rusks. Plus a fruit bowl and chocolate muffins. This is the perfect place if you just need a quiet weekend away, and also great for solo female traveler as it's extremely safe with secure parking. I will definitely be back, this little place is perfect!

I had a lovely and peaceful stay at the Strandloper Room. The surroundings were quiet, and the interior was beautifully decorated. There was a nice selection of tea and coffee, along with complimentary fruit and homemade muffins. It was a real treat during the cold weather. The warm electric blanket was a thoughtful and much-appreciated touch.

Perfect stay

I liked everything, it was just perfect. In fact I ended up extending my stay and I would have stayed longer but there was no availability. The place is quiet and located in a nice and safe neighborhood. The room is pristine clean and nicely decorated, The bed was comfortable, equipped with electric blankets to keep you warm. There is a little fridge a kettle and tea and coffee that are constantly replaced if you need them. the tv has Netflix and the wifi is super fast. They would leave delicious muffins and fresh fruit almost everyday in my room. Such a kind gesture. They even kept my luggage in a safe place for many hours until I was ready to collect it. I will never forget the hospitality, reliability and kindness of the owners and all the staff of the Strandloper room!

Cute place!

The details were wonderful! It was certainly noticeable. The room itself was a bit small. At the time there was no door on the bathroom and the shower was in sight of the bed. Not a lot of storage space for much luggage. However, there would be enough storage for a few days of packing. Perfect for a couple or a solo. Cute and safe. Beautiful neighborhood. I would stay again If I was flying solo.

Beautiful and well considered - close to everything

You won’t find a more beautiful and cleaner place to stay at these giveaway rates. 20 mins to the V&A Waterfront, 10 mins to Willowbridge/Tyger Valley and 30 mins to Franschhoek/Stellenbosch estates. The bedroom is cozy but so well designed - many interesting features. Noellien and her family were a pleasure to meet and most hospitable. I particularly appreciated the variety of teas to choose from and the welcoming fruit tray.

Excellent stay overall

Excellent location for the course I attended at Tygerberg Hospital. Truly kind and friendly owners who provided extra snacks and coffee. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable with a separate entrance. Small bar fridge with coffee station.

The room does not have a television although that did not bother me at all, but might be a problem for someone else.
