A lovely, quiet, comfortable place for a restorative break

The location was great. Very private, peaceful area with a stunning 10 minute walk alongside the river to get into the centre of town. The cottage was stylishly furnished and very comfortable. A well equipped kitchen meant that I was able to prepare all meals when I wanted to rather than going out (it was January and a bit wet and windy!)

Considering the weather we had a lovely stay.

The lighting in the cottage’s lounge was very poor. As the weather was poor it made games/hobbies difficult. The top rung of the stairs is very dangerous for the older generation!!!

Good location.

We couldn’t ignite the log burner, but realised at the end of our break the gas to it was switched off. But we didn’t really didn’t need it on, it was a lovely warm cottage.

Great self-catering choice for Aberaeron

What a beautiful, sympathethic restoration of an old welsh cottage... Cosy, warm and nicely equipped with modern facilities, inclduing a slipper bath and two bathrooms with showers, dishwasher and washing machine if needed. The headroom upstairs was a bit limited but not a major problem, and the cottage was equipped with everything we needed. easy access and good communication with the host. Usually stay in hotels in Aberaeron but the favourite was fully booked and it was a pleasant surprise to find this option at a similar price... parking right outside (not easy in town) and an easy walk into town, either along the river path or by pavement in about 10 minutes... would recommend and definately stay here again.

Good location with pleasant riverside walk into town. Unusual rebuild of original cottage has a certain charm and works surprisingly well. Easy parking. Very pleasant owner.

No dining table as such, breakfast bar would have been ok with more comfortable stools.

The cottage was sympathetically renovated,and the interior design was beautifully thought out. It was spotlessly clean and very welcoming. An easy walk to Aberaeron. We would definitely return an ideal base for exploring.

Fabulous classy cottage

The beautiful interior, open plan kitchen/lounge. Well equipped kitchen, easy to use appliances. Two beautifully decorated bedrooms and fabulous bathroom. Location 15 mins walk along the river to Aberaeron. Host quick to reply to queries.

Lovely cosy, modern restored Welsh cottage. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable and a short river walk into town.

Spotless, comfortable, charming, all amenities. I loved the decor - bare brick and wood accents, Welsh blankets, a mixture of traditional and hip. Very convenient and clean. Great walk into town. The is the best place I’ve stayed so far in Aberaeron; I was lucky to find a window where they had a vacancy.

Perfect location, set in the woods a few minutes' walk from the town along a very pretty riverside path. The cottage has been carefully renovated and has everything you could need.

The best accommodation Ive ever stayed in.Loved it

We loved everything about this cottage. It is so well set up and included everything we needed. The beds were super comfy and it was great having a bath in the room. The kitchen came fully equipped and it was we enjoyed relaxing in the lounge at the end of each day.

Breakfast not applicable. Location perfect - easy reach of everything locally and good base for exploring further afield. Cottage was delightful and everything of a high standard. Our second stay here and hoping it won't be our last.

Wonderful for a short stay.

Fantastic property, lots of lovely little touches throughout, lovely and clean, great location short and pleasant walk along the river to get to the village, really comfortable all around, nice parking spot, good comms from the host throughout all the facilities you need, as close to perfect as you could ask for. People in the village were really friendly and helpful, some great places to eat and drink, and walk - and to pick up some bits and bobs. Short trip to the supermarket a few mins by car, Instructions on how to connect the Wifi, sort the keys out, how everything worked were on point and common sense, loved the shower, partner loved the bath. Amazing restoration of a really old building, loads of character. Nice to haev some tea/coffee provided just need to get some bread an milk as you would expect and do a small shop.

My partner fell in love with the place and didn't want to leave after 2 nights, so no doubt at some point we will need to go back again. I'm a bit tight with money, and this wasn't a cheap place to stay, so this annoyed me, hearing her non stop praise of the property and having to return to mine! :)

Aberaeron is a fantastic place to stay and overall the cottage was good.

We loved the location and the character of the property. It was warm and cosy and would be a lovely place to stay during the winter months. Bedrooms were very spacious and the ensuite was outstanding.

Lighting in the living area was quite dim and it was difficult to read at time. Maybe an extra floor lamp would help. The beds were quite narrow given the size of the rooms and the mattresses felt quite soft resulting in both couples not having particularly good nights' sleep.
