Two Peas In A Pod

Hosts were welcoming and friendly. Cottage was comfortable and fully equipped. Best welcome pack I've ever received. Lovely location, could hear the river nearby. Some lovely walks from the door. Liked the theme of 'two peas in a pod' continued inside-- picture book, two peas crochet figure etc. Had a lovely week away. Pat

All was as expected

Kaz and Rob are welcoming hosts who greeted us warmly and made sure we knew they were there if we needed anything. A gorgeous basket of local foods, a card from the hosts and a bottle of wine was a fantastic welcome gift. The chalet was a home from home decorated with love and lots of thoughtful touches like plenty of spare blankets and even towels provided for the dogs! The chalet is lovely and clean and smelt fabulous, everything you need is provided for your stay. The bed was so comfortable and I had the best nights sleep. The location of the chalet is secluded and peaceful but minutes away from lovely walks and only a short walk or drive into Aberaeron itself. The garden is fenced and secure for dogs and we were delighted to be able to sit outside and watch the birds feeding at the front and the back of the chalet. The hosts provide a comments book which is filled with wonderful messages from previous guests and recommendations of fabulous places to visit. I highly recommend this perfect place and will be booking a return visit 🙂

Nothing

Our hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. As an example it was very hot during our stay and an electric fan was provided without our asking; a small point perhaps but indicative of their helpfulness. The property was very clean and a wonderful 'welcome basket' was there ready for our arrival. The garden caught the early evening sun so was a great spot for relaxing. Like many of the previous guests we had a dog who was well catered for and there was a river walk very nearby, perfect for the morning constitutional, and also as a shortcut into the town.

We didn't actually dislike anything! The property is perhaps on the small side, but everything practical is provided and is more than adequate for a couple's stay. Regarding Aberaeron, we were very surprised how difficult it was to find somewhere open for dinner on Monday and Tuesday. Pubs' kitchens were either closed or evening meals weren't available until Wednesday onwards. Possibly due to the difficulty in finding staff maybe? Anyway the local fish shop and convenience store were open so all was not lost! Personally I was also disappointed to see overflowing litter bins after the weekend, something the poor street cleaner couldn't possibly cope with single handed. Perhaps the council should pay an educational visit to much derided Barry Island where teams regularly empty bins and clear up any litter to keep the place spotless in the season. Being paranoid about the appalling state of littering in Wales I'll shut up now!
