Homency - Chalet Eternel

Excellent location for access to all ski lifts (almost right outside the door). Ski in, ski out (subject to snow obviously). Plenty of space.

Short walk to supermarket but actually not that bad.

We especially enjoyed the location, ski closet and boot room, large porch, and living room areas. The kitchen appliances were modern and worked well. The Sonos system was a nice touch, too!

AVOID THIS HOST AT ALL COSTS. The facilities and services promised in this listing did not reflect our reality. The host has done nothing to make us whole after taking $14,000. The host was dismissive and downright hostile of our concerns. Between dysfunctional facilities, used underwear being left in the dining room from prior guests, and freezing temperatures, we were incredibly disappointed with our experience. Cleanliness: 1. DIRTY UNDERWEAR We found dirty underwear stuffed in a corner of the dining room. Guests should never find used underwear in a home—let alone in the dining room! This was actually quite upsetting to a few members of our group who are more modest / private by custom. 2. NO SOAP The chalet did not have any soap in bathrooms. Further, only a few bathrooms had half-used rolls of toilet paper (two bathrooms had none at all). Finally, there were no paper towels provided in the kitchen. Soap, toilet paper, and paper towels are generally provided as a necessity in even the most basic of accomodations. For a chalet that costs $14,000/ week, it was shocking that this was not provided. 3. BAD SMELL AND CHLORINE FUMES The entire house smelled when we arrived. And the basement, in particular, had a very strong smell of chlorine throughout our stay. For our guests in the basement, the smell made it hard to sleep. They were also worried about the potential health effects of such strong chlorine fumes so close to their sleeping quarters. Jacuzzi: It was only possible to use the jacuzzi for 2 of the 7 nights that we stayed at Chalet Eternel. In the beginning of our stay, it was too cold and showed error messages. At the end of our stay, it inexplicably overflowed, and the water level was then too low to use. When we brought these concerns to the host, they showed no remorse and refused to offer even a slight refund. Instead, the host chose to deceive us, steal from us, and insult us along the way.
