Laurel Apartment

Comfortable, well laid out apartment, host responded promptly when messages finally got through (see below re wifi). Location is fabulous, short walk to the heart of the village. Others have complained about the bed being too soft, & yes it is soft (not in a Rolling Towards Each Other in the Middle kind of way, but definitely in a Your Ankles Are Higher Than Your Hips way). It was ok for us but the wife & I are pretty evenly matched weight wise. The couch is big enough for 2 to stretch out, the fridge has a freezer section (not all do, & they should), & there was enough ground coffee for exactly 4 cups as long as you don't like it too strong.

You can't rely on the wifi for Anything. At. All. Yes it's there (occasionally - the drop out rate is high - it took over an hour to get enough signal to send the host a message) but don't expect you can load a graphic heavy page to book the next day's adventure, do any kind of work (I'm self employed & do need to have daily input to keep the wheels turning), or even google "Why is internet so crap in the Cotswolds". I'm travelling with a Roamless data sim & it was completely dead the whole time I was there (but worked a treat in the middle of Stonehenge with 20,000 other people doing the same just a few days before), so not having reliable wifi mattered. (Also had great reception at the Rollright Stones so maybe those druid geezers were onto something & Bourton-on-the-Water just needs its own ancient stone circle). We were also there in the middle of several consecutive days of heat (35C) and not having aircon made sleeping pretty challenging. I get that you Brits are all about keeping the heat in, but I reckon this weather isn't going to go away & aircon is going to be your friend, & I'll definitely be looking for accommodation here that includes it from now on.

Really lovely clean, comfortable apartment, everything you needed was there. Great location, literally just a minutes away from main Street. Plus parking in front of property. Would highly recommend.

Nothing to dislike.

The location, the comfortable bed, the property in general was amazing.

It didn’t have a washing machine.

The entire apartment, the kitcken, the location, the heating and the towel rack with heating, and the free parking space in front of the property, the lack of stairs. Andy was always very friendly and he helped us when we had to call avis since our car had mechanical problems.

The bed was small, but we managed to sleep well. The shower was a bit difficult to handle the temperature.
