Bundeli Kothi - a unique farmstay

Unser Aufenthalt in der Bundeli Kothi war wirklich eines der Highlights unserer Reise durch Indien. ❤️ Vom ersten Moment an haben wir uns bei Sakshi und Mudit unglaublich willkommen gefühlt. Die beiden sind so herzliche und wunderbare Gastgeber, bei denen man sich weniger wie ein Gast und vielmehr wie ein Freund fühlt. Ihre ehrliche Freundlichkeit, ihre Herzlichkeit und die schönen Gespräche haben unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht. Wir sind wirklich dankbar, dass wir die beiden kennenlernen durften. Auch die Unterkunft selbst ist wunderschön und voller Charme. Sie bietet einen wunderbaren Ort, um zur Ruhe zu kommen und Indien von einer authentischen, persönlichen Seite kennenzulernen – fernab vom Trubel. Und das Essen … einfach himmlisch! ❤️ Jedes Gericht war unglaublich lecker, und man hat bei jedem Bissen geschmeckt, wie viel Liebe und Sorgfalt in der Zubereitung steckte. Es war hausgemachtes Essen von seiner schönsten Seite: voller Geschmack und mit viel Herz gekocht. Die Bundeli Kothi ist so viel mehr als nur eine Unterkunft. Es ist ein Ort, an dem man sich willkommen, umsorgt und mit den Menschen verbunden fühlt. Wir nehmen wunderschöne Erinnerungen mit und denken sehr gerne an die Zeit bei Sakshi und Mudit zurück. Sollten wir wieder nach Indien reisen und in die Nähe von Orchha kommen, werden wir ganz bestimmt wieder vorbeischauen. They are genuinely wonderful hosts who make you feel less like guests and more like friends.

A real farmstay with real hosts. Sakshi and Mudit are very professional and at the same time warm and personal, a combination that is rare and works very well. The property is clean and modern. The food was really, really delicious, and you can taste that it is made from natural, fresh produce. We arrived late, around 8 pm, and they had agreed to it in advance without any fuss. Breakfast was served whenever we asked for it and our laundry was done the same day. Quiet, green and peaceful. We truly recommend it. Thank you both!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to India. The hosts are so friendly and helpful and make it feel like a home. That included wonderful organic breakfasts and dinners. They took us around the farm and explained how are they are managing it sustainably. The hosts also arranged our transport into orccha and a wonderful guide to help us see the palace, temples and cenotaphs. I highly recommend this farm stay.

Nothing really

It’s like your home away from home, only better ! Perfect getaway specially in Orchha. Hosts are intimately involved in every aspect of your stay and go the extra mile to make you comfortable. It’s a 5 acre property with only a few rooms. The food was home cooked with produce from the extensive kitchen garden. We sat serenely in the patio for hours looking at the greenery around. Just a brilliant stay.

It’s 20 min to Orchha town and monuments. To me it was actually a blessing as Orchha is nothing to write home about. So to be slightly away was better. Orchha monuments make the visit well worth it and Bundeli kothi enhances the experience.
