Hotel Piz Badus

I liked the location, the breakfast was very good, but could start earlier. The size of the room was really good and comfy, the beds were great.

the bathroom was small and it had a weird set up where the sink was in the main room, rather than the bathroom. Even though I booked with option to cancel I couldn't amend the reservation three days prior to arrival. Cancellation policy not flexible.

Hotel Piz Badus is a very pleasant, modern hotel with a fresh contemporary feel — a nice alternative to the more traditional Alpine style. Everything was very clean, comfortable and well maintained. The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Andermatt, so the location is very convenient. There is also parking next to the hotel. The restaurant on the ground floor is excellent — my husband had dinner there and really enjoyed it. Breakfast, served on the top floor, was another highlight: generous, fresh and very good quality. A comfortable and well-run hotel, and an excellent choice for a short stay in Andermatt. We would happily stay here again.

Der Frühstücksraum im Dachstock ist speziell schön (Foto). Das deutsche Personal war locker drauf, dabei stehts sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Zimmer war geräumig genug, Ausstattung und Sauberkeit tiptop. Lage zwischen Altstadt und Bahnhof ist optimal.

Das Zimmer war zur Strassenseite ausgerichtet. In der Nacht kein Problem, am Morgen dann Verkehr, dessen Geräusche man bei offenem Fenster - und das war nötig während der Hitzewelle - gut vernehmen konnte. Das Bad mit Dusche und WC ist winzig - kleiner geht's kaum. Das Waschbecken war ausserhalb des Bades im Zimmer. Die WC-Schüssel könnte etwas höher angebracht sein, damit man nach einer Sitzung leichter wieder hoch kommt. Preis für 2 Nächte für unser DZ betrug fast CHF 500.-, was als eher stolzer Preis zu bewerten ist.

Room was facing a road with a lot of traffic. Also there was no one available to check in when we arrived.
