The Old Milk House

Property was spotless and well situated for dog walks and visits to places of interest. Eppleby is a lovely village.

No negatives other than I would question the £5 a night for extra cleaning for our dog. The house will be cleaned once at the end of the stay so why the extra. A small point, but the property itself is lovely. Well furnished, good internet and Russell was extremely helpful with local information. Would definitely book again in the future.

The property was clean and well equipped for our needs. The location was excellent right on the village green all in all great. Russell was a very friendly host and was at hand if we needed anything

Great location with two great pubs fir evening meals

Two friends and two little dogs, we all enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Old Milk House. The property is lovely, very clean, with plenty of light coming through double aspect windows, spacious rooms, very comfortable beds, large sofas in the living room, a very good sized shower room with plenty of hot water. We enjoyed having the kitchen and living rooms upstairs, with beautiful views over the surrounding area. The village is very charming and quiet, with good food at the Cross Keys pub just 2 minutes walk away, and a useful, well stocked small convenience shop, which doubles up as a tea room/cafè, 1 minute walk from the property. We also enjoyed the walks with our dogs in and around the village.

Nothing, everything was fine. One, very small, suggestion is to provide a kitchen roll and a couple of extra toilet rolls. We ended up buying some ourselves. Also, if one is planning to cook meals in the well appointed kitchen, please be aware that only two small pots of salt and pepper are made available at the property. We had brought some oil and vinegar to prepare salad dressings and for cooking , any other condiments would need to be bought nearby or brought from home.
