A comfortable stay in a character property

Quirky, cheerful decor. Well equipped, warm, comfortable cottage. Particularly comfy mattresses on beds.

We needed better directions for arrival as the house is set back with a very easy to miss access through narrow door/arch way. The name of the property, as listed, was not displayed on this entrance, only a house number. Then I think it would be a good idea to have flood lights/security lights come on , to guide your way down potentially precarious sloping pathway with steps down. The low ceiling upstairs did not bother us but might be an issue for others. The bedroom door only pulling to (not closing properly) by hooking around the light fitting (!), needs seeing to, and also the bathroom lock.

Lovely cosy little cottage

Very cosy cottage in a pretty environment. Wifi was good. Lovely and warm.

Upstairs the sloping ceilings in the hallway were difficult to negotiate. Not well equipped in the kitchen, not adequate wine glasses Sufficient beds but not really enough room for 6 adults.

Location was excellent for what we required, we were at an event at the International Centre, so only a 10 minute drive away. Clean, well-equipped and comfortable.

Parking is an issue. There is no off-road parking, and the road the property is on is not really suitable for parking on. We ended up having to park a good 5 minute walk away. The property is quite difficult to find when driving along the road, as it is set back from the road through a small gate in a wall, with a relatively small number plate affixed above the gate as the only identifier. This was easily missed when driving along the road.

This is a beautiful dog friendly cottage in a great location. It is incredibly private, being located off the Main Street. The way the cottage is decorated is really lovely. The proximity to ironbridge is very good - walking distance to restaurants and tourist places of interest.

Nothing really. Only issue is that some of the boundary fencing needs replacing so we were unable to allow our dog to roam free in the garden.

We ate out for both our meals so did not use the kitchen for cooking, it would have really disappointed if we wanted to

It was a very private place and suited our purpose for the weekend, which was a Friends reunion. We like sitting in the garden.

The kitchen was very poor, not enough wine glasses or champagne flutes, oversized dining table so that you could not access the freezer. Crockery was chipped. Also in the garden they were only enough chairs for two people although the house was meant to be for six! The house was generally cold as it did not get any sunlight inside, but we were in there for May so it did not matter
