Manilù Maison

The location was perfect. Centrally located and walking distance to the downtown area. Tons of great restaurants in walking distance. Luigi and his dad are very sweet and go above and beyond to ensure that you feel welcome.

It’s not on the beach and there is no pool…. We knew both these things so not a big deal.

Superb location. Apartment is very modern, spacious and spotlessly clean. Well equipped. The large terrace is wonderful; it overlooks a pretty piazza which could be quite noisy at night but we did not mind this. You are in the heart of Sorrento - soak up the noise and the atmosphere! We had asked Luigi and Nino before our arrival if there were sunbeds on the terrace. There were not, but they very kindly bought some before our arrival. This made a big difference to our stay as we used these to chill out and relax when recovering from one of our exhausting day trips! Much appreciated. Luigi and Nino were great hosts.

Nothing really 'not to like' but a couple of very small suggestions: 1. The main bathroom is fabulous but it is next to impossible (I did try!) to have a shower without water going all over the floor, which meant a lot of mopping after each shower. A shower curtain would help. 2. The only mirrors in the whole apartment were in the bathrooms. As ladies, we would really have appreciated mirrors in the bedrooms to do hair/makeup :-)

Clean and comfortable

It was holiday and there was a lot of partying and noise outside but that’s to be expected in that area for this time of year.

I liked that the property owner/manager answered the phone when we called the number provided on the listing. Searching for this property by address got us to a different property and caused some frustration and delay in checking in. Email was not instantaneous response. Once we got through by phone, all was smooth. The property is magnificent, spacious and welcoming. It’s location made getting around so easy, whether by train, ferry, or meeting for tours.

Because location and comfort are the most important things to me, I highly recommend this property. The things I didn’t like are not as important to me, like the noise level from the businesses below this apartment (I expect noise when I’m in the lively city center), and the fact that it’s on the expensive side
