Location, location, location! Parking near the castles is nearly impossible - so it was wonderful to have private parking and a location that made it easy to walk to Peles and Pelisor. The bed was comfortable and the room was lovely. Hostess was very nice. We also enjoyed the on-site restaurant.

We had a bit of a sewer gas smell in our room. Friends who were in another room did not experience this - so maybe it was just our room. The building is very old so there may be some plumbing issues.

When you have to hit a code on an electric lock in order to enter the building and there is no staff on site, it's not a hotel, in my view. And because the code box was well away from the door handle and the handle was sticky, I couldn't get in. I had walked a mile and a half up a steep hill to get there. Yikes. Fortunately reception worked, so I was able to WhatsApp the proprietor. Oh, the room was comfortable and well-equipped when I finally got in. And it was very close to the palace, which was, of course, closed that day.

Sinaia is beautiful, and the setting is stunning. Of course, the restaurants nearby had closed by the time I got there, so I went to bed without dinner. Hard to like that.
