Turing Lodge, near Hampton Court

A casa é fresca, renovada e com todos itens para uma curta estadia. Conheci a proprietária e os animais do local, ela é muito gentil. Apesar de ser uma casa de hóspedes eles possuem um portão independente que sai direto no jardim da casa que é muito calmo. Devido ao jardim o apartamento se manteve fresco por todo o dia.

Se você está sem carro, os comércios mais próximos precisam de ônibus mas nada que atrapalhe a estadia.

Clean and good value for money.

The location was excellent, it was located on a bus route and was easy to find and close to Hampton Court Palace (you can walk or hop on a bus), it was a good size and the owner was very helpful when I called on our way giving clear instructions regarding location, parking space and bus details.

Sadly, there is a list, I do not write this lightly, I spent a few years in the travel industry visiting lots of places in the world and examining accommodation of varying levels. I booked based on all the excellent reviews but on arrival it was as if I was staying in a completely different place! No mirror in the main bedroom area for either drying hair, getting ready etc, only one in bathroom. Tiny fan , could do with a floor standing one , especially in extreme heat. I know the owner can’t control the weather but believe me when I say the fan was ridiculous, floor standing ones are a few pounds and would have been better. Pillows were awful, very lumpy, definitely need changing. The property wasn’t clean, see photos (only allowed to upload 4, have many more to show for context)this was really disappointing and not what I expected given all the reviews. It needs a really deep clean! Microwave top, air fryer top and kettle all dirty, kettle needs descaling. Fridge dirty inside with spillages, coffee or similar spillage seen on the breakfast bar, all skirting boards dirty , bin lid inside and out filthy ! Shower tiles show dirty areas, hair and dust and dirt on bathroom floor, skirting boards and bin. Area around kitchen sink needs a good scrub. The floor had not been swept or hoovered, there were bits of outside debris (dirt) that I noticed as soon as I walked in. It also didn’t smell fresh , the only things that smelt fresh were the towels that were lovely and soft. The bedding did not smell fresh, or look/feel crisp , it was as if someone had slept in it! Dust everywhere. I found all this to be unacceptable, especially given when I called owner en route she said we could not arrive until 3pm because of the changeover and time needed to clean. If a cleaner had been employed to do this, they need retraining or sacking.
