breakfast was eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, cereals, pastries, juice and coffee. free wifi staff is friendly.. its more of a tradesman motel but as good as any other in Altoona

Hotel was easy to navigate, appeared clean, and it's always a bonus when I can stay with my dogs. The price point is also nice!

Unfortunately, there's like nowhere outside to walk the dogs for potty. Very little grass, and it's out by the main road, so not really the best place to take the dogs (hard to focus on pottying when cars are whizzing by!) Also, the first room I was given had a busted toilet - like as soon as I walked in, I could see the toilet was clogged by the fact the lid was up and there was a wad of toilet paper in the bowl - the lid of the tank was also on crooked which made me think someone tried to fix it and gave up (I did try to flush it once because I didn't want to make it an issue if it was not clogged, but it was indeed clogged). I told the front desk right away, but because the lady there was the ONLY staff that evening, she couldn't send anyone to fix it, so just switched me into another room (not the biggest deal). I don't know if they were just understaffed or what, but it was a weird issue to have. This should not reflect poorly on the front desk lady, as she did what she could to help and was wonderful! It was absolutely not her fault that she expected a room to be clean/undamaged and it wasn't, and she corrected the issue immediately! Other weird issues was that there was no cold water? It ran hot regardless of which handle you turned, which made giving my dogs drinking water very difficult (thankfully I do travel with gallon jugs of water). The curtains are also sheer so even when you close them, you can see the lights from the shops across the street come into your room when you're trying to sleep (also don't change outside the bathroom because there's no privacy with sheer curtains and a window that faces the parking lot).

Location

The bathroom was awful!! There was mold in the shower head so I couldn’t even get a shower (I have a mold allergy). The caulking around the tub surround looked like a 3 year old did it. We were supposed to stay on the Suburban side but our reservation got screwed up & they put us on the Quality Inn side.

The location was very convenient.

It was dirty, smelled awful, and they messed up my booking.

Nice amenity

Rugs had trip hanging partially off and I use a walker. Dangerous for me. Also the hair dryer was broken.

It was amazingly quiet even the last night we were there and it was fully booked. The room/suite was spacious and clean. Breakfast in the morning was pretty typical breakfast bar hotel: waffle machine, cereal, pastries, yogurt, scrambled eggs with a meat side to choose from. Again, very clean and attended by an attentive staff. Plenty of parking and convenient to restaurants and shops.

The staff was very sweet and accommodating - from the front desk clerk to housekeeping! Love that there were no incidental fees held up front. It was also close to a lot of restaurants and stores. The breakfast was great!

Our room was outdated. You could smell cigarettes on the curtains. The wall next to the shower was chipped and looked moldy. The shower was broken so there was no way to turn the shower part off or on and the shower had no liner, just a thin curtain, so the water came right out of the shower and all over the floor. We also had a lamp over the sofa but no plug near by so it was totally dark in that part of our room. The bed was hard and hurt my hips! My husband woke up Sunday with a pinched nerve in his arm/shoulder. It felt like we were sleeping on milk crates. The bed also only had twin size pillows and it was a king size bed.
