The flat is in an excellent location, and is very spacious. Picking up the keys was easy, and generally the flat manual was helpful. The gardener we met on our final morning was very friendly and helpful.

This flat needs air conditioning - the fans provided are just not enough in the middle of August. The shower was a bit hit-and-miss and it was sometimes difficult to get consistent hot water. Communication was often confusing as the location was constantly refereed to as 'Varenna'. Because this is an unattended flat, there was nowhere to leave luggage before check-in or after check-out - again, we were advised to leave our bags at the reception of a hotel in Varenna, which is 16kms away! Also, although the flat manual was helpful in some areas, it referred to facilities that were not available in the flat (air conditioning!) and was focused on experiences and services in Varenna.

This is a beautiful, clean home to rent. There was no breakfast, but there are places a block away with breakfast, lunch and dinner. The kitchen has all you need for quick meals. Mandello del Lario is a beautiful quiet town. The home has plenty of room for private parking, though we took the train and the walk was about 6 minutes from the train station. The beach also is about 6 minute walk. There was a fantastic market Monday morning. We grabbed some cheeses, wine, bread and fruit to keep in the house. The views of the mountains was amazing. The beds were very comfortable. It was easy to hop on the train up to Varenna where we caught the ferry to Bellagio. Another day we hopped on the train and went to Lecco to e-foil (lots of fun for teens). And another day we hopped on the train to Dervio to paddle board and hang on the beach. We loved our stay at this home. Will definitely book again.

Opholdsstuen kunne godt være bedre indrettet. Køkkenet mangler lidt udstyr.

Lovely apartment. Great position for shops, restaurants with a short walk to the lake.
