We really enjoyed our stay here. It is a very old cottage with many updates and quite charming. The AC worked well and there are lots of fans. It is nicely furnished and quite comfortable. The large back screened in porch was a wonderful place to hang out. The stairs to the beach are in great condition with a nice area halfway down with a picnic table and benches, lovely spot for a meal. We really enjoyed the natural areas around the beach and the backyard. There are many native plants, birds and truly magnificent white pines! They are huge! And one day we heard bald Eagles up in the trees there. The owner was very responsive to the garbage/trash bins overflowing when we arrived. She had someone out to remedy that the next day! Good things to know, there are 43 steps to the beach but it is not a hard climb. The shower in the main house is in a claw foot tub, lovely but challenging for us short folks with orthopedic issues. The small cottage does have a walk in shower though, so that can be an option.
