We stayed in late April early May. The house and gardens are wonderful. Great for two couples and Jose looked after us! A simple house with great WiFi, views of Gijon but in the countryside so a drive into the city! As it was early in the season not much open locally but lots in town and very close to some other towns and beaches but you would need a car! I would only suggest that if guests are staying more than a week they install a washing machine and do a change over of towels and linnen however we popped down to Al Campo as they have a launderette there where you can do your shopping and have some lunch!
