About this house rental
WELCOME to our Tennessee Mountain Resort! Our home is a convenient 5 minute walk to the Clifftops lake. We are located minutes from "The Caverns" music venue, The University of the South at Sewanee, South Cumberland State Park, and some of the best hiking trails in the region. We are located only 45 minutes to Chattanooga, and just over an hour to Nashville, TN.
The space
PLEASE READ:
The Doc Holiday is a two story home with approximately 2,800 sqft.
MAIN LEVEL:
-Living room and kitchen are open floor plan with plenty of space.
-The master suite is located downstairs with a queen bed, full private bath with a tub and a walk-in shower.
-Bedroom 2 is located downstairs with a queen sized bed next to the full bath with a walk-in shower.
-The Office "Nashville Room" is our office that features a full sized sleeper sofa that will accommodate two guests, It also has a closing door for privacy.
UPSTAIRS:
-The Bunk Room has 5 platform style bunk beds that are full sized. Perfect for kids!
-Bedroom 3 is located off the bunk room with a queen sized bed and a full bathroom with a walk- in shower. (Please note this is the only bathroom upstairs)
OUTDOOR AREA:
-The Patio is equipped with furniture, corn hole boards, and a wood burning fireplace. Please use responsibly.
-Outdoor Fire Pit is available for guests to use!
-Charcoal Grill is available for guests to use.

*Owners closets are locked and not available for guests use*
*Garage is also off limits for guests*
The home sits on 5 secluded wooded acres. This brand new home is fully equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Enjoy complimentary coffee, a fully stocked kitchen, an outdoor fire pit, outdoor wood burning fireplace, WiFi (fiber), Netflix, fresh linens, and plenty of board games! This home has 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths and a bunk room to accommodate up to 14 guests.
Guest access
Doc Holiday guests can enjoy access to the entire home, with the exception of the garage and owners closets.
Other things to note
Please be respectful to our home and treat it as your own. We love our neighbors, so please be respectful with noise levels.

We had a fantastic stay at Doc Holiday for Sewanee’s Family Weekend. Beautiful home that is well appointed and very comfortable for three couples. Thanks so much for having us!!!

We were looking for a larger home to accommodate 6 adults and 3 children with room to spread out and yet enjoy each other’s company. This home did not disappoint. Really nice layout with a large “living_kitchen” room all rolled into one making it easy to watch the kids and go about the business of feeding everyone.
Cliff tops is a peaceful location with homes on 5 acre + lots where you can see your neighbor in the distance and still feel like you are “in the woods”. We did not get to enjoy the lake given the weather but did play a bit of pickleball. Would be fun to return in the summertime as it would be a totally different experience.
Bunkhouse setup was nice for accommodating the kids but that area does not have its own bathroom. The immediately adjoining bedroom does have its own bedroom making the second floor ideal for a mom/dad/kids arrangement.
The “office” has a pull out which we did not test. My older “Kids” are not big on pullouts and that room would be made more functional with a simple double or even a single bed with a good mattress.
Lastly, the indoor fireplace has not been completed and would be a great additional to the main “living_kitchen” room.
All in all, great house, great layout and lot’s of room to enjoy. The grandkids have already asked if we can return to the Mountain House. Good chance we will :)
