Welcome to Lakeside Landing, a Lake Norman luxury vacation rental! This 5 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom, 4,000 square foot luxury home is peacefully situated just steps from Lake Norman. Located on over one acre of land, this home accommodates up to 16 people and provides access to a private dock for swimming and boating.
This quaint, brick cottage-style home is privately situated away from other residences and is surrounded by lush green trees and a stunning lake view. Removed from the noise of neighboring residences, Lakeside Landing provides any family the perfect peaceful getaway. As you enter the property from the driveway, you pass an elegant garden, hosting an array of colorful flowers. The minute you enter, you will feel right at home!
Next, you'll enter through elegant double doors, which lead into the open home concept that uniquely expands the feeling of the space. When you enter the home, you will be invited into a warm and expansive living room, decorated with wood panel floors, vaulted ceilings, comfortable leather furniture, a flat screen TV, and a stone fireplace. This room allows you to take in the natural light while admiring the view of the lake.
Continue to stroll into the large kitchen, which is fully equipped with appliances and granite countertops. The kitchen is fully stocked to prepare a family meal including a Keurig and drip coffee maker giving each guest choices to make their morning Joe! The kitchen additionally provides a cute breakfast nook capable of hosting a meal for four, and offers gorgeous views of the lake. The kitchen opens up to the second floor back porch, an excellent location to have a drink and watch the changing colors in the sky during sunset.
The master is on the main level, granting easy access, with an attached bathroom. The upper level boasts three bedrooms- a junior master with a queen bed and en-suite bath, a queen bedroom, and a bunk room featuring 2 queen beds, one twin with trundle to sleep 6- these two bedrooms share a hall bath. Each room is equipped with luxurious bedding and queen beds. The rooms are spacious with plenty of storage space as well, permitting guests to unpack and unwind – we want you to feel right at home! Most rooms have a TV too! Sleep in, relax, and enjoy some privacy.
Move downstairs to find a large, fully stocked game room ready for any adult or child to be entertained. This game room includes full access to a pool table, mini fridge, and flat screen TV. It is also perfectly located in relation to the back patio, which is on the ground floor, level with the lake. The patio provides a built-in grill (propane provided) and seating for six, as well as a large outdoor fireplace (firewood provided) and flat screen TV – a perfect place to accommodate the whole family for games, food, and fun!
Just down the hill, our guests are provided a private dock perfect for swimming and docking your boat. In total, the home features 1,500 square feet of decks and patios overlooking the scenic lake. Conveniently located on the dock are all of the fun lake toys which include: a kayak, a paddle board, and an assortment of life jackets.
Additionally, the property is equipped so that you can bring your own boat! Keep it in the garage or on the water, it is up to you. Otherwise, the private property accommodates as many as three boats. No need for the hassle of renting one daily – just keep it close and keep the fun going!

The majority of docks in this area are generally suitable for most average-sized pontoons and ski boats. This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.
As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we cannot always enforce. The host, AvantStay, was welcoming and they were quick to respond to all communication. The home was clean and very comfortable for our family Christmas. One thing that stood out to us was the arrangement of sleeping quarters. The spaces are nicely separated so each of our four family groups were able to have some privacy. This also helped with noise—some people stay up later. Overall, this was a great stay. Nice neighborhood, clean home, well appointed. And, the nice surprise was that it was tastefully decorated for Christmas. Thank you AvantStay for a great holiday home.

The home was located in a great spot of Lake Norman, so the jet skiing and boating. There was also plenty of good water for swimming and paddle boarding. The home was spacious with enough room for everyone as we had 2 families each with 2 twenty-something children. The kitchen was well stocked and the home provided toilet paper, garbage bags, paper towels and bath products. This was a nice surprised as these are things we usually have to provide. We had a great 4 days at this home.

The house itself was fine, but the pictures are outdated.
1-The leather sectional in the LR is gone, replaced by a white fabric one that someone had taken a black sharpie to.
2-The hammock is gone.
3-The life jackets listed consist of about 6 very old, ripped children sized life jackets. Zero adult sized.
4-The paddleboards are very old and cracked and one actually had mushrooms growing out of it.
5-The kayaks are just as old and cracked as the paddleboards - without mushrooms.
6-There was no pinball machine in the "game room". It had been replaced by a dehumidifier...
7-The table with umbrella pictured on the upper deck was missing and replaced with a table with no place to put an umbrella which made it too hot to enjoy.
8-All of the furniture pictured in the outdoor kitchen is gone. There were a few backless barstools next to the bar and that was it.
9-The only thing that worked in the outdoor kitchen was the grill.
Last but not least, the water level was very low when we went. I know this has nothing to do with the house itself but you may want to check with Duke before you book. The house is in a cove within a cove and instead of seeing water, we got to look at mud. A lot of mud that didn't smell great.
I expected more for what they charge.
