We were offered dried porridge in cartons (sugar in ingredients), crisps, chocolate, biscuits and water in bottles for breakfast. Coffee and tea drinks could be prepared in the home owners kitchen. The host was welcoming and invited us to relax in the pretty garden. Table and chairs outside on a patio. The shower room and toilet were a short distance away from the ground floor bedroom we used and we did not have to share with other guests. Lovely fluffy towels and comfy bed. WiFi reception was excellent, being encrypted and secure to use. Thank you to the host for providing a booklet to read that gave a very detailed and interesting history of her Victorian Pond Cottage (known before as Bournside) in Kenley. Our stay in this cottage was very much enjoyed.

We were disappointed in the breakfast limits. We prefer porridge without sugar and generally like toast or cereal without added sugars. Being a Sunday it was hard to find a local breakfast cafe. The television was adequate in size but had a bluish tinge on the screen film pictures making it hard to watch. We were only there one night and did not want to make a fuss.

Super convenient for my work trip and close to station. Comfy bed nice space separate shower room. Bonus cuddles from Maggie and house cat.

The bedroom door has a large glass panel which is part opaque, The area where the room is away from the main house, although the off the passage to the garden, I just felt uneasy trying to sleep with the glass door. I hung my coat on the back of the door. The owner or someone in the house must smoke and you can smell smoke from the owners areas. Blind at the patio doors doesn't cover the entire door, it was fine on my visit as still dark when I woke up although in summer daylight hours I don't think it will keep light out. Curtains would be great. Proper bedside light would be great
