The place is very neat and clean. The room was clean and tidy. The owner is super nice and friendly. He picks me up at bus terminal and also drive me everyday to the ski area and pick me up in the afternoon. The food offers from here are also very good.

It would be better if one of the staff could speak English, but we managed the communication with the help of Google Translate.

The most welcoming and pleasant place in Hakuba. Beautiful mountain views from the room and dining room windows. Spacious and clean room. Hearty and delicious home cooking. But the most important asset is the owners and staff of this lodge! Very friendly and polite people. They helped me out a lot when I realized I had lost my bag with my documents on the train. They helped me contact JR and inquire about my belongings. There is a place for drying ski equipment. I recommend this place. Замечательное место, хоть и расположено далековато от центра. Здесь работают прекрасные люди. Спасибо вам большое!

It takes about 8 minutes to walk to the nearest bus stop (Ochikura Jizo-mae). Unfortunately, this is not the most popular place for evening buses, so it can be a little difficult to return from the center in the evening.

Food was Delicious, very very clean well run Japanese Lodge. Private Onsen at the end of the day was delightful on the muscles. Staff will help you anyway they can. 👌

A friendly welcome on arrival, but otherwise, the property is old and in need of renovation. I did not eat there so cannot comment on food. Very cheap for a Saturday night stay, but you get what you pay for...

Futons were uncomfortable (after stacking three) and way too short for me (6ft). Only one, hard pillow provided. Room itself was mostly clean but a layer of dust on TV/table. Communal facilities for toilets/washing, on a different floor to my room. Communal areas are old, grubby, and not very pleasant.
