Casa GioNi’

Casa GioNi is in a very good location, around 10 minutes walk to the old harbor and town. Access to the property was easy. Our host Leo made sure we had everything we needed, even a snack and a bottle of wine were waiting for us on the table when we arrived. The room was very spacious and had great high ceilings with lime stone which gives the room a character. If you are driving like we do, parking may take some time but you will eventually find a spot with white lines, we were always lucky and could park our car close to the property. Leo also helped us with the restaurants and places to go. We took his advice and took a train to visit Polignano a Mare instead of driving there, which actually was very easy. By the way, I would like to mention about the meat restaurant right across from the property "The Butcher's", if you stay at Casa GioNi, you should definitely give this place a try. I highly recommend this place if you are planning to stay in beautiful Monopoli.

The only negative point I can mention is the stairs going up to the property. If you have heavy luggages like we do, carrying them upstairs may be a little uncomfortable.

Apartment was very well appointed, situated on the first floor on a quiet street not far from town centre and marina. It has all necessary fixtures to make your stay comfortable. All rooms have dome ceilings adding extra cosiness and are good example of Italian building craftmanship. Host was extremely helpful answering our questions regarding places to visit and finding best restaurants serving local dishes.

Leo, l’hôte, était sympathique et plus que serviable. Il nous a en plus conseillé pour une balade à vélo. De plus, l’architecture de la Casa GioNi est atypique et très sympa, tout était bien propre et nous avons été accueillis avec de bons taralli ! L’emplacement était aussi très pratique : entre la gare et le centre historique. La machine à laver nous a aussi été utile :)

Nous avons un peu eu du mal à utiliser la machine à café mais rien de terrible car nous avons quand même pu en boire !
