Residenza Lungotevere dei Mellini

We have stayed in many apartments over the years, and Vincenzo and Caterina are truly among the warmest and most thoughtful hosts we have ever met. Long before our arrival, they sent us a wonderful list of their favourite restaurants, cafés and bars in Rome. We loved these recommendations and managed to try several of them. Unfortunately, we simply didn't have enough time to visit them all, which is something we'll definitely do on our next trip. On the day we arrived, Iulia was already waiting for us downstairs. She kindly helped us carry our luggage up to the apartment and I should mention that our suitcases were extremely heavy! We really appreciated her help. The apartment was already cooled with the air conditioning before we arrived, which felt amazing during the unusually hot weather this summer. The apartment also had a lovely fragrance that we all noticed immediately. Our son even asked if we could make our home smell just like this! They also welcomed us with a bottle of wine, biscuits, and an incredible amount of coffee capsules. I'm not exaggerating,there were two large jars completely full, plus two extra boxes as backup! What touched us the most was their generosity after learning that we were continuing our journey to Sicily. They kindly offered to let us stay in the apartment until it was time to leave for our flight, even after check-out. We didn't expect such a thoughtful gesture, and it meant a lot to us. Rome is a fascinating and beautiful city, but Vincenzo and Caterina made it feel even warmer and more welcoming. We wholeheartedly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Rome, and there is no doubt that it will be our first choice when we return.

Die Lage ist super!! Der Service ebenso, ein eiskaltes Wasser im Kühlschrank zur Begrüßung ist bei 35 Grad einfach eine super Sache!!

Eine Tür war etwas laut.

We were sent lots of information about local restaurants, supermarkets etc before we arrived. Adrian met us at the apartment and was very friendly, funny and informative ("If you need ID to get into anywhere, take a photo of your passport, rather than carry it around with you.") The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Tea, coffee snacks and an excellent bottle of wine were provided. The apartment is in a lovely area of Rome. Handy for Castel Sant'Angelo and the Vatican/St Peter's but also close enough to the city centre to walk to all the main attractions.

Perfection from the very beginning. Prior to arrival we received great insights about local amenities and restaurants, as well as clear instructions regarding the apartment. Adrian met us at the apartment and his hospitality couldn’t have been better. Whilst at the property the coffee machine had a small fault, straight away they replaced the machine and provided more pods for us to enjoy. I really couldn’t recommend this place and its host enough!
