Taronga Western Plains Zoo is one of the region's great drawcards, with open-range enclosures, animal encounters, keeper talks, and tours. The onsite waterpark and Zoo Cafe & Bar make it a full day for families. The Dubbo Botanic Gardens offers a quieter afternoon — the Shoyoen Japanese Garden, adventure playground, and wide open lawns are worth the visit. Everything! The house, the garden, cleanliness, and location. A couple of minor suggestions though: 1. The hot water tap over the kitchen sink is quite temperamental - boiling hot when first turned on and cold very quickly after that. 2. A dust pan would have been very helpful to complete the job of sweeping the floor. That's it! Would stay again in a heartbeat if in Dubbo again.

Hampton Cottage is a classic white verandah house located on the outskirts of Dubbo surrounded by a wonderful established garden. From the start, we knew would enjoy our stay.Inside the cottage, there was a sense of calm/tranquilty and elegance with high ceilings and natural light everywhere. The tasteful neutral decor, the comfortable beds with fresh linen were perfect for resting after a long day.Our hosts, made the visit so easy and welcoming with excellent messaging and communication. Their love for their property really shows in the attention to detail and knowledge of plants which is evident in the beautiful landscaped garden(s).We will definitely visit AGAIN. A great Winter retreat or for anytime of the year.Elaine
