About this house rental
Welcome to the Cedar House, your tranquil forest getaway within walking distance from the beautiful Indianola beach. This house was designed and built to make you feel like you're perched in the trees with all of the modern comforts a contemporary space can offer. Each room is designed with care and detail ensuring a comfortable and unforgettable stay.
The space
With natural light spilling into each room, there isn't a dull corner of this gorgeous home. The open floor downstairs allows the family to stay together while cooking, working, and lounging in front of the Jotul propane fireplace.
Within a leisurely stroll of under ten minutes, you can access the beautiful and historic Indianola beach and dock and Indianola store. We recommend the Rueben with a freshly baked cinnamon roll warmed up with melted butter for dessert!
The kitchen is fully stocked with a five-burner gas stove, coffee, tea, and serving trays and utensils for the whole family. Prepare homemade meals in the open-concept kitchen while still interacting with friends and family throughout the home.
Both the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms have modern features, high-end toiletries, and luxurious linens. The bedrooms are comfortable, both with cozy reading nooks, luxury sheets, and views of the cedars surrounding you.
A pack and play travel crib and high chair are available upon request!

Please make sure you follow directions to the property rather than entering the address into your GPS. There is free parking right in front of the rental on the side of shared driveway with the neighbors. Don’t worry, the space feels very private.

This house is very charming, perched amongst the trees and brand new. Everything is extremely well appointed and convenient. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends in the area. Especially compared with other rentals in Indianola, this is comfortable and clean. It is small--probably best for a family of 4 rather than two couples, as there is ZERO soundproofing. A couple of quirks that should not dissuade you from staying here--the house shakes when people walk around, so you feel like you are on a boat (it is on stilts). Also, it is likely on well water and there was a strong sulfur smell to the water, but it wasn't noticeable in the coffee--just the shower. We loved it!

The house, property, and neighborhood were absolutely charming and magical. It was straight out of a story book! The beds were so comfortable and we were so close to the Indianola pier, we went multiple times to check out the bioluminescence! Our host was kind and responsive. We had a great time all around.
