About this house rental
A serene, small country home on 2.5 green acres of open land located a short 10 minute drive from the Ferry Terminal and the lovable town center of Bainbridge Island. Great destination for country peace and quiet, while still having quick access to small town Bainbridge and all of the activities of bustling downtown Seattle (a 35 minute ferry ride). Centrally located for quick access to the many beaches, trails, retail shops, restaurants, activities, and all the Bainbridge Island has to offer.
THE SPACE:
Summer Hill cottage is at the end of the road and sits on sunny 2.5 acres. Enjoy the peace and quiet. The property features two outdoor lounging areas, as well as on outdoor dining area.
The cottage was completely remodeled in 2026 with all new furniture, floors, appliances, and bathroom. It's quite cozy and comfortable if we must say so ourselves.
While the cottage has 3 bedrooms, it is ideal for 3-4 people. The king size bed is in the upstairs loft that is open to the main living area. Two small comfortable bedrooms on the ground floor (one queen, one twin) Please consider when booking that there is only 1 bathroom.
WiFi and Roku TV allows you to stream your favorite platforms. A Marshall bluetooth speaker in the kitchen is available.
The kitchen is equipped with all the essentials to make a home cooked meal. Microwave, toaster, coffee maker and electric stove along with pots and pans. Coffee, sugar, honey, creamer and a selection of teas are provided. Basic cooking spices and olive oil also provided.
We are new to hosting on Vrbo, but have lived on the island for 20+ years. In fact, the Summer Hill Cottage was our first home on the island and where we raised our kids. It is very special to us and we are thrilled to be able to share it with you.

I travel for work a lot, and this was one of the more pleasant rentals I’ve booked in a while. Only a 10 minute drive to the cute downtown, and very private and quaint feeling. Big beautiful yard to look out on while drinking coffee on the porch. Would be great for families. Owners were very personable and go out of there way to make the house more welcoming than most. I will keep my eye out for this one when I come back to the island.

We absolutely loved our stay at Belle Hill Cabin! The property is stunning—peaceful, beautifully maintained, and even better than the photos. Every detail felt thoughtfully curated, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The hosts were phenomenal—warm, responsive, and clearly committed to creating a great experience for their guests. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived and throughout our entire stay. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful getaway with exceptional hospitality, this is it. We’d return in a heartbeat!
