Welcome to Iron City Cabin, the perfect retreat at Deer Valley Hot Springs. Nestled in the San Isabel National Forest, this charming cabin offers breathtaking views of Mount Antero from its raised deck, one of the best vantage points on the ranch.
Inside, you’ll find a cozy and welcoming space, with a functional kitchen for all your culinary needs and a living room designed for relaxation, featuring a warm, inviting fireplace. The cabin offers three bedrooms and two full bathrooms—each equipped with a tub.

-Chalk Cliffs: Discover the historic Chalk Cliffs, renowned for their striking, chalky texture and stunning views. These unique formations are created by mineral-rich waters from the surrounding hot springs. Enjoy easy access to the trail right on the property for access to the Chalk Cliffs.

Conveniently located in Nathrop, CO, between Buena Vista (20 minutes away) and Salida (30 minutes away), our Iron City Cabin is the perfect base for exploring the natural beauty of the area. Enjoy nearby outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, and skiing. Explore the nearby trails of Mount Princeton, one of Colorado’s iconic 14ers, just minutes from your doorstep.

Winter Access:
During the winter months, a 4-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicle is required to access the cabins and lodge in the event of snow.

Please note that stairs are required to access the cabin.
Pools:
Our pools and hot tubs are open year-round. The hot tubs may operate on a rotating schedule, with one hot tub occasionally closed for maintenance. The pool and hot tubs are shared with other guests on the property. Like other hot springs in the area, we treat our geothermal-fed pool and tubs to maintain cleanliness and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all guests.
Check-In:
Upon arrival, please follow the signs directing you to the office. Our office hours vary depending on the season and occupancy, so if the office is unstaffed when you arrive, don’t worry! A check-in packet with all the information you’ll need will be waiting for you on a magnetic board outside the office.
Pets:
Dogs must be well-behaved, on a leash outside, and not allowed on furniture or bedding. Guests are responsible for reporting any damages caused by pets. An additional fee will apply for pet hair on furniture. Pets must be housebroken, not bathed in the unit, and all waste must be cleaned up promptly. Linens are not to be used for cleaning pets. Aggressive dogs are not permitted.
Pets incur an additional $75 cleaning fee and must be added to the reservation at the time of booking,

Bed and bedding very comfortable. Though, it may be time to get a new mattress or flip it. When I went to roll on my side I felt like I was rolling uphill. The cabin space and seating very comfortable and inviting. Could use some serious updating but I was still very comfortable. The gas stove did not work unless we had a lighter/or flame from the fire to light it. We had to buy our own lighter. Wood well supplied for the fireplace but question if the chimney needs to be cleaned. Could not keep a fire going. Not our first time building a fire. Grill worked great and well prepped. Kitchen had many amenities but felt like not keeping up on basics...creamer, pepper, foil. Each new resident should have a new dish sponge as well. Soap was supplied. The hot springs pools were definitely lacking. Too cool to sit in for cooler outdoor temps and only one pool at this time (March) open. However, the two hot tubs were great. Overall, I did really love the place and the quiet. I would stay here again but am now aware of a few basics I need to bring. Which, in general, shouldn't be needed for the cost.

The area that we stayed in was absolutely beautiful. We were a perfect distance from Monarch Ski Resort and only 1 mile from Princeton hot springs. We took advantage of everything there was to do and at a very reasonable price! Thank you for having us.
