About this cabin rental
Our log cabin is approximately 4 minutes from downtown Buena Vista and has easy access to Cottonwood Pass, both Mt. Princeton and Cottonwood Hot Springs, local Drive-In movie theater, hiking trails, rafting, horseback riding, fishing and many other outdoor adventures to be found in Buena Vista. The property includes direct access to the beautiful and relaxing Cottonwood Creek that can be heard from inside the cabin, something special to be found in Buena Vista. It is not unusual to see wildlife, primarily deer, down by the creek. Expansive views of the beautiful Sawatch mountain range, framed by 14,000 foot Mt. Princeton are highlighted from the front porch. Additonally, the property has a large driveway with ample space for parking (and a lot of space for easy turn around for larger vehicles or trailers).
This cabin is a wonderful fit for a family or couples. It has modern amenities and appliances in the kitchen, a wood pellet stove for the winter months, and is stocked with essential supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, linens, soaps, and the kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans, etc.) . There are two bedrooms and a loft area which serves as the third sleeping area. The master bedroom has a king-sized Sleep Number bed with an attached full bathroom, complete with a large soaker-tub. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a larger walk-in closet. The loft has two queen beds. There is another full bathroom on the main level. The cabin sleeps 8.
We have internet and Netflix to provide for our guests.

A beautiful house & location! The house was very well stocked with supplies. I greatly appreciated this after coming from a Florida VRBO that had absolutely nothing stocked. It was close enough for the attractions in the area. We saw deer, snakes, chipmunks and woodpeckers.

My hubby and I along with our grown son and his gf, stayed at the cabin for a few days and it was awesome! It was one of the cleanest places we’ve ever stayed. Sitting outside there listening to the creek while looking at the mountains is one of the most relaxing things I’ve ever done. Lovely, peaceful cabin right on the creek. The kids enjoyed wading in the creek. Location is perfect. Town is beautiful and the drive in movie was a special unexpected treat for the adults and a fun new experience for the kids.

Time for the owner to put some money back into the property by making some repairs. The sliding door, screen and vertical blinds were all non-functional. Steps at entrance need repairs. The tub in the main bedroom bath is "out-of-order." Overall quite clean, however we did find trash and things behind the dressers and nightstands. Know that "creekside" is actually down quite a long steep hill and you really can't hear the water flowing. The night sky is beautiful! The kitchen was well stocked. We are well traveled and it seemed a bit overpriced to us. Happy travels to everyone!
