✦ We have furnished our chalet so that the whole family can stay there!
✦ The first bedroom includes a queen-size bed, a closet to store your personal belongings and a large window directly overlooking the forest. In addition, it also has a work desk including a monitor, an ergonomic chair and an HDMI cable.
✦ The second bedroom also contains a queen-size bed with ample storage space. Furthermore, it has a patio door giving a view of the spa, sauna, patio and garden!
✦ Our large kitchen is fully equipped to allow you to cook delicious meals during your vacation. Dishes, utensils, glasses, dishes, pots, pans, food essentials are on site to facilitate preparation. You will even have access to a fondue kit, a raclette kit, a mixer and a hand mixer!
✦ In the living room there are two large sofas that can be transformed into a double bed in the evening, a smart television allowing access to your Netflix account and a warm gas fireplace to warm you up during the winter.
✦ Outside, there is a terrace with furniture and a breathtaking view of the forest, a propane BBQ, a spa and a sauna which are open during the 4 seasons, not to forget a large area with an included playground where your dog and kids can stretch their legs!
✦ The chalet has a full bathroom, accessible to everyone.
✦ The chalet has shared access to a lake just a few minutes' walk away. There are kayaks and paddles that are shared with the other residents along the lake.

✦ You will have access to the entire chalet and its outdoor spaces in complete privacy, except for a locked storage space.
✦ By booking with us, you will receive a Guest Manual giving you all the important information to know about the chalet, in addition to the addresses of relevant activities and shops nearby!

*DOGS*
CATS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. We accept a maximum of 1 dog under certain strict conditions and only with our authorization. We are animal lovers but have had bad experiences in the past with owners who disrespect our property, thank you for your understanding.
๏ Additional costs: $100 per stay per dog, not refundable.
๏ Guests must have at least 3 positive reviews from previous experiences to bring a pet.
๏ We do not accept young dogs under 1 year old and your dog must be under 40 lbs.
๏ Your dog must be clean, not climb furniture, and always access bedrooms.
๏ Your dog must not cause noise nuisance for the neighbours and on leash when outside.
๏ Guests must always pick up dog droppings and keep the yard clean.
If one of the following rules is not accepted, we'll charge 500$ penalty after your stay.
*ATTENTION*
Road in a wooded area. Several fairly steep slopes. Good winter tires are essential, as slopes may not be climbable.
*NOISES*
Because our neighbours are sensitive to noise and want everyone to enjoy a quiet environment surrounded by nature, it is strictly forbidden to have a party at the chalet. We ask that you pay close attention to the volume of the music playing and / or if you are singing around the campfire.
*TV*
We do have a smart TV, but we are note offering cable channels.
*BARBECUE*
The barbecue is not accessible from November to April. During winter, if you plan to use the barbecue, it is your responsibility to prepare it and clear the access area of snow.
*FIREPLACE / LOGS*
You have access to the outdoor fireplace, however you must bring your own wood. I suggest you bring kindling and paper to help start the fire. Also, as lighters disappear easily, I advise you to bring one. You can buy wood and accessories near the chalet, the addresses will be in your guest manual. The outdoor fire pit is not plowed from November to April, so if you want to use the outdoor fireplace in winter, it is your responsibility to clear the access.
*WINTER STORMS*
Please note that in winter in Quebec, there are sometimes snowstorms that can lead to sporadic water and power outages.
It is FORBIDDEN to use fireworks.
*LADYBUGS*
The changing seasons of spring and fall bring the arrival of small, colorful visitors seeking warmth: Asian ladybugs, an invasive species. You may encounter them during your stay during these periods. Rest assured, they are completely harmless to your health.
*LAKE*
It is not possible to bring your own boats on the lake because of potential contamination. Also, motorized boats are not allowed

Beautifully styled inside and out, La Cachette Forestiere is a lovingly maintained and excellently equipped property. My family and I - 4 kids and 4 adults total - stayed for a week, enjoying superbly clean and comfortable beds (even the fold-out couches!), a stunning modern kitchen and bathroom, and a beautiful views of the forest everywhere you looked. The property is nestled away in the woods just outside of Brownsburg, with a variety of local and more adventurous day trips nearby. We explored the waterfall walk and Bar Laitier in Brownsburg, the nearby Monasterie (a breath of Greece in the mountains), and found Ottawa and Mont Tremblant in easy reach. For quiet days, La Cachette had something for everyone - hot tub, sauna, a variety of lawn games, fire pit, and swing and slide set. Especially important for the menfolk in my family, we also had super-reliable internet. The gorgeous kitchen had everything you needed and more (the ice making fridge was a particular hit with the kids, and the choice between Nespresso machine, Keurig and proper Italian espresso pot meant that even the needs of the 'coffee incompatible' adults were seamlessly met!). Jaume is an incredible host; super-responsive from my first inquiry; easy and detailed check-in instructions before we even arrived; checking in after our first night; responding to even the 'silliest' questions we had along the way. A first-class experience from booking to checking out, Jaume's place is perfect. Merci, Jaume!
