Technically we did not stay in the listed apartment, we were scheduled to, but the host called us at the last minute with an emergency water leak and quickly moved us to a upgraded three bedroom apartment just a few blocks away. The apartment we did stay in was clean and on a nice tree lined street in a wonderful area of Victorian Village and the host is very accommodating. No complaints!

Location is excellent. Walking to all on high St down to Northside market. Good 2 bedroom studio. Parking off the street.

I wasn't going to leave a review because I don't like to say anything negative about properties unless it's really egregious or intentional, but I felt it is important for others to know what they are booking so they have proper expectations. This is a great location as advertised... so easy to walk out to High St and all it has to offer. I happened to receive a great price on it as well. Happy on those two fronts.
However, it was not clean (despite having been cleaned and despite a 5pm check-in) and that caused additional health issues for me (I was a bit sick and became more sick) and wasn't particularly comfortable. The lighting is lacking and furniture is below average (one of the beds is quite old and the mattress pad needed to be washed in order for it not to smell quite bad). My daughter described it as "dank" and that's probably a good word for it. We got used to it and were fine in the end, but it was definitely not the nicest place we've been.
Check-in is also strange... they require photo id's for "insurance" (I have rental properties and lots of insurance policies... none have ever required that) and that gummed up our check-in process, resulting in me having to take a zoom call in my car instead of in the unit.
I think the property managers mean well and they were responsive to my concerns, so I give them props for that. Possible they are inexperienced and hopefully they will learn from mistakes.
