About this apartment rental

ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Enjoy this private guest apartment on the bottom floor of our historic four story home. Located footsteps from Portland's best restaurants, shops, and our beloved Timbers and Thorns soccer stadium, you'll be central of NW 21st/23rd commercial districts, the Pearl district and downtown Portland. Whether traveling to visit loved ones, see a show, a game or enjoy some culinary maximalism, this is your hotel like home away from home. Business travelers will also love this central location.

THE SPACE
When entering this newly constructed guest apartment you'll find a full kitchen with fridge, range, microwave and garbage disposal. A washer/dryer with detergent and other cleaning products can be found in the closet off of the kitchen. Enjoy a book or game in the living room with a couch that can be converted into a full size bed. Down the hall, you'll find a stand-up desk with office supplies, a clothes closet with extra linens and an open bedroom with a queen bed, complete with Roku TV, and a bathroom with heated floors. Note the bedroom is open to the hallway with no door, so traveling with those you're comfortable having less privacy with is important.

GUEST ACCESS
With your keyless entry code for private entrance, you'll find the apartment on the bottom floor of our home with no shared space. We live on the upper floors and are available for any immediate needs or questions.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Zone K street parking is free from 5 PM to 9 AM Mon-Sat and free on Sundays and federal holidays. Parking passes available at a cost if needed.

Portland is a safe place, but like any city, it is important to be aware of your surroundings. It's common to see homeless people who will keep to themselves. This shouldn’t deter you from enjoying neighborhood walks.

A breathtaking historical property only a few blocks from shops and restaurants in the Nob Hill area! Everything was so clean, and the hosts were so nice and helpful. We really had a wonderful time and would absolutely stay at this property again or recommend to anyone. There are definitely homeless people camping out on the street but they never bothered us. I would also say this is ideal for a single traveler or couples - like the listing says, the bedroom is open to the living area where the sofa bed is, so if you have someone else join you’ll need to be comfortable with little privacy! The unit does not have AC (which is very usual for old homes in Portland!). We were comfortable during our stay with it being in the 70’s but just might be a consideration in the summer! There only being a small TV in the bedroom pushed us to spend more time reading, and we really enjoyed the time away from our usual nightly screen time. Overall this is probably my favorite Vrbo I’ve ever stayed at and can’t say enough positive things about it.

I LOVED my stay at this Vrbo! The space is charming - perfect for solo travels and room enough for 2. I stayed for 3 weeks while attending the Floral Design Institute, and the decor and wall textures made it ideal for floral photography. The open floor plan was the best - spacious and cozy. The kitchen was fully stocked, the bed like a cloud, and even the towels were unbelievably soft! I way overpacked, and the closet had more than enough space and hangers. Plus, the free WiFi and standing/sitting desk were great. The location is unbeatable - just a 6-min walk to the Institute, 21st & 23rd, and the streetcar to Powell's Books, Farmers Market, and PDX MadeHere. Trader Joe's and Fred Meyer were steps away, along with good restaurants:Marrakesh – Moroccan dining with fun entertainmentThai Hot Pot Heaven – Great food & fried riceUrban Fondue – Use the red door!Elephants Delicatessen – My absolute favoriteParking can be tricky, but you really don't need a car - everything is walkable and Rabio Cab is right there (40 to the airport). For those hesitant about Portland, let me reassure you that this home is in a completely safe area. I was out past 8 p.m. multiple times, and the streets were well-lit and active, with people walking dogs, carrying groceries, or strolling. There are a few homeless tents, but I never had any issues. As a 5'3" woman, I felt completely safe the entire time. This Vrbo is a total gem, and I would absolutely stay here again! Highly recommend!
