Have stayed here a few times now when working in the area. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Hotel is very clean and easily accessible. Plenty of car park spaces. Can’t fault this place at all.

Staff definitely made this trip - so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked. Room 6 was a lovely large size but tired, old furniture. Big bathroom had a bath only that was hard to get in and out of, taps/water pipes were very loose and wobbly which was concerning. Bed was lovely and big but very hard. Bedding was lovely and clean. Overall I’d say it was a £75 room not £104 or at that price should include breakfast. I believe they are working through refurbishing the rooms so I’m sure when they have done so, it will be lovely.

Nice welcome and offer to help with bags up the stairs. Room was noisy being on the front with the trains. Thought it was overpriced.

Stayed in room 3, amelia earhart room for 1 night. Room was clean but dated, the windows are single glazed so trains and traffic can be heard clearly, shower cubicle could do with a bit of elbow grease under door on inside to get rid of the mould. Could hear the other customers talking in the restaurant until late while in the room so of you're a light sleeper and need an early night, could be problematic. But, the staff are truly lovely and the food is fantastic. Would definitely stay again.

The customer service was excellent/very helpful and friendly staff Very clean rooms and throughout the hotel. Food options were excellent. The decoration in the rooms were contemporary,however the rooms/bathrooms could do with a refurb,they looked very tired. The shower was very old school and the water wasn’t very hot. Having said all of that I would go back again.

Check in was quick inefficient. For a single room, it was a decent size with a three-quarter bed. However, it was very dated and needed a good refurbishment. It was also very warm even with the windows open. And the smells from the restaurant were apparent which wasn’t particularly nice.

Executive room.TV didn’t work.Staff didn’t answer reception phone after 3 attempts gave up.Heating difficult to control.Floors very noisy/creaky and walls thin with no sound proofing.Couldn’t control bath mixer tap.Dissapointing visit as have stayed before and usually just one or two issues!

Not worth the money charged £85 especially as breakfast not included, decor needs a lot of attention, carpet needs a good steam clean, tv way to small, bed uncomfortable, shower was awful as hardly had any power or hot water. Window had condensation so could not see out. All in all very run down.

Unfortunately the hotel is in need of a bit of a refresh. We stayed in a room at the front of the property and there were a number of areas for improvement. 1. The overall decor is dated, the wallpaper is old and coming away from the walls in a number of places. Under the window the wallpaper has peeled off and the wall behind was damp. 2. The ensuite is again very dated and the grouting around the tiles had a fair amount of mould. The main concern however was the shower curtain that had quite a bit of mould on it. 3. The bed was very uncomfortable and I could feel every spring digging into my back all night, there was literally no support! When I inspected the mattress I noticed that the mattress was in fact falling apart at the seams with massive holes in it. 4. The rest of the hotel just looked very tired and would benefit from a total refresh! On the positive side, staff were pleasant and made an effort to check us in earlier than their official policy and breakfast was nice. I did take photos if I can post them.

This was a comfortable night’s sleep in a spacious room, but note that the hotel is a little tired and the location is not “classically ideal”. I did enjoy my time, and it was exactly as expected - and the staff are all very helpful. Note that breakfast wasn’t included in my rate.

Stayed at The Ashburnham for a friends wedding. The hotel was beautiful, in a lovely location. The breakfast provided was delicious and served hot. We only had dinner at the hotel for the wedding reception which was amazing. The rooms are comfortable and provide everything needed for a few nights stay.

We stayed for a couple of days in this comfortable and reasonably priced hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and food was excellent. The hotel rooms are a little dated, but believe there are plans to update. Would recommended and hope to visit again.

From the time we arrived the staff were very friendly. They made us sandwiches although the tea menu was finished. The breakfasts were good especially the quality bacon. The room was adequate, and the bed was very comfortable. I liked being able to open the window properly at night.

The staff were efficient but lacked personality and did not seem to interact with visitors which I felt unusual for a relatively small hotel. The evening meal I had was impressive and the full Welsh breakfasts were very good. I was surprised that after my first night no housekeeping was carried out. Following second night, bed was made but used tea cup and waste bin which was rather full were left untouched.

Very nice and friendly staff. They have been doing everything they could to make my staying comfortable. Few amends needs to be done in the building. There is still single glazing (was in my room), cracking floor boards. I could hear everything what has been told on the corridor, while staying in the room. I booked double room, which was a very warm and comfortable, spacious. Comfy bed, good size en suite bathroom. Clean. Measurements in place, hand sanitiser available. Staff wearing face masks. Good food for reasonable prices. Breakfast menu, so you can choose what you like. Good for short stay.

From outside looks not that interesting, but inside its so good. Staff was so friendly, I have diner and breakfast next morning food was gorges. Room its so clean and I was surprise with cream color carpet witch is unusual for a hotel. Over all more than HAPPY, thank you soo much! If I have a chance definitely will stay again!

Staff welcoming, very pleasant and helpful. We stayed two nights, requiring an early breakfast each morning and this was no problem. Room clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Possibly a little too warm at night for us personally. Ensuite bathroom also clean and larger than we had expected. Lots of little extra toiletries available and clean towels each day. Water pressure in the loo could be more efficient. Hotel very conveniently situated for the event we were attending in Pembrey Country Park and we would certainly stay there again.
