Stayed before, so knew what we were getting, but still impressed with how they’ve used the space, to now make them a little apartment
Nothing

Ventilation in bathroom, steamed up very quick

The apartment is tiny, but it has all you need for a comfortable stay. Appreciated the coffee and milk!
The sound isolation is poor: we could hear everything our neighbours said to each other, word-by-word.

Cosy (a bit small) but clean and well thought out. Comfortable with high quantity sheets etc in bedroom and great quality kitchen area. Nice little pad for a couple of nights
A little small, but that didn’t matter as clean, new and quiet etc

The skylights were cool. Nice mirror in the bathroom. I slept quite well.
That i couldn’t turn off the light outside the door when I went for a cigarette, it was on some kinda timer I think. I like to look at the moon and starships

Clean, appliances and kitchen utensils all very good, bed comfortable, quiet area, handy to bus stop to city.
Central heating turned off a little early. Bathroom was a bit small - although still manageable.

A lovely little cottage with everything we needed for our short break. Great location and very quiet.
Very clean and comfortable. Easy access via a key box and great communication from the owner. Highly recommended. We shall return.

We chose the location as it was easy to find from the A1, and we were breaking our journey travelling north. It was fine for one night for 2 of us and a dog but would be cramped for any longer.
We ate at the pub next door because it was convenient. Lots of wonderful public footpaths for walking the dog and the people we met were all very pleasant and helpful.
Someone had parked their car in the parking space right outside our room which made it very tight for us to park as well.

This is the second time I’ve stayed and ready to go back, I always get the best sleep in that beautiful bed. Always very clean, I could live there
Nothing I didn’t like

I thought it needed a rug in front of the sofa. And a table or a stand next to it. Apart from that , excellent!
It needed a small stand beside the sofa

Room 6 was a very pleasant experience. I did not realise we would have such great amenities including a washing machine, toaster, kettle, coffee machine ect ect. John was on hand for any issues and very quick to respond to messages. I loved having the small courtyard as well. The pub at the corner was great also.
Nothing comes to mind

Very clean cottage with good transport links for the bus into Durham. Shame the local pub was closed Monday and Tuesday but a very pleasing holiday at a location I would recommend highly.
Everything excellent with the property.Just a shame the Public House was closed on the days of our stay.

The location was within a short drive to Durham City.
Heating didn't work on arrival. However, a heater was supplied on the second day. No issues thereafter.

These properties were unfinished, dangerous and dirty.
There was significant building rubbish outside the cottages when we arrived and despite the builder coming back and moving some of it, it remained a building site with debris and cones. There was unsafe and unfinished paving outside with barriers preventing access to some of the area but a whole area which was too dangerous to walk on. There were temporary wooden steps down from one of the properties where it hadn’t been finished and it was clearly unsafe. There were bare wires inside where appliances had not been wired in. The cottages inside needed cleaning, there was building mess inside where plaster had been dripped and stained surfaces in the kitchen and unclean showers. It wasn’t safe or clean.
It’s a great shame because lots of time and money had clearly been spent but you can’t open for business until the properties are finished and these properties were not finished.

Very clean and flexible space, convenient for the short ride into town too.
Took me a bit to work out the induction hob, but that could just be me.

Very comfortable home from home.
Garden furniture would be nice and some curtains/blinds on the patio doors to shield from the sun.

Apartment was comfortable and clearly recently refurbished. Beds were comfortable and kitchen well equipped to self cater. Pub a few steps away with traditional pub food - very welcome on our first night. Parking was great, location good for our visit to the University - 10 mins drive to park and ride.

Location
The new complex was rushed to complete , there were signs of a builders yard. There had been a water leak in the kitchen and water soaked the adjoining bedroom carpet so after a few days the cottage developed a strong fusty smell.

Good communication from the owner throughout, via email.
Lovely little pub on the corner of accommodation grounds where you receive 10% off your food bill.
Overall, would deffo recommend .
Not that we didn't like it, it was a case of preference, the mattress was too soft compared to what I like.
