Lovely clean and cosy cottage in a great location. The cottage has everything you need and some lovely added touches like Prosecco and wood for the stove. Rothbury is great for exploring local countryside including Crag side which is must and 30 minutes to beaches

Easy to park near the property. Comfortable bed and sofa. Bedside lights for reading. Log burner made the cottage cosy. Property was warm with good central heating . Well equipped with cooking utensils and crockery . Efficient shower .very clean and although a dog friendly cottage no dodgy smell or hairs from any previous visitors .
Located in the town so easy to walk to the shops and enjoy walks from the property.
No local information on sightseeing or local walks . Information on how to use the heating and operate the woodburner was inadequate a bit hit and miss with getting it to stay alight !
The breakfast bar eating area was ok but not that comfortable and would be a bit cramped for 4 people.
Had to be very careful going down the spiral staircase .
Lighting very subdued …glad we found the little portable lights in the cupboard.
