The front porch is amazing!! The house is clean, comfortable, and inviting. Love all the small details and decorations. The yard was nice for my dogs with lots of room to run and secure. It's always nice to bring your fur babies and not have to find a sitter. There are a lot of thistles in the yard so wear shoes. We really enjoyed our short stay! The hosts are very responsive and check in with you to make sure everything is okay. We will have to come again we're traveling this direction.
The thistles in the yard is the only thing that was unpleasant. My grandbabies didn't want to wear shoes, but it was a must. Also the dogs didn't like them lol

Very cozy place. Love the big yard and that it is dog friendly.
Flannel sheets were pilled and scratchy. Not a huge deal though. Needed a veggie peeler and couldn’t find one—seems like a basic kitchen tool.

The home was nicely furnished, and well stocked. The homeowners were very responsive to all correspondence we had before and during our stay.
For four women, the bathroom situation was less than suitable, since the half bath was such a small space. The bedrooms were nicely furnished, but the step down into the bedrooms was a bit awkward.

The Cowboy House was the PERFECT accommodation for our group of 7 adults and three dogs while we attended Zimfest USA 2025 at CWU. It was a comfortable home base close to campus. The securely fenced grassy yard with shade trees and a dog-friendly pond is a rare and valuable amenity for folks traveling with dogs.
It would be better to have direct access from the porch to the fenced yard for the dogs. We could have used some extra towels. The three steps down into the bedrooms would be a real challenge for anyone with mobility issues.
