Stunning 2-Bedrooms Apartment in the heart of Athens

We had a wonderful stay in this luxurious and spacious apartment. It has everything you might need for a comfortable visit. The lovely terrace offers a gorgeous view, making it a perfect place to relax. The air conditioning worked perfectly, everything was spotlessly clean, and the bed linen and towels were fresh and of excellent quality. We collected the key easily by simply following the provided instructions. The only suggestion for improvement would be to provide two sets of keys instead of one. As there were two of us staying in the apartment, having only one key was a little inconvenient at times. Nevertheless, the apartment's location is excellent-very central, with plenty of cafés, restaurants, and bars nearby. Overall, we had . fantastic stay. Thank you very much! We would definitely love to come back.

The apartment is very well equipped, with functionable AC in all rooms, and very clean. David was perfectly responsive when we had questions and, e.g., brought us a second key upon request.

Position close to metro and in “cool” neighborhood Exarchia is great — but the fact that you need to close a security gate 7 pm to 7 am and that the street stinks of urine is less so. No info where to store garbage; originally sole key intercepts electricity circuit (AC, light) when removed; for a 10, conditioner and body lotion would be nice.

The location is good for singles or solo travelers who want to enjoy the vibrant nightlife of Athens. It’s right in the heart of the city and very close to the Acropolis, making sightseeing convenient during the day. There are countless bars, pubs, and entertainment options for those seeking an active nightlife. The apartment itself has been newly renovated and is well maintained inside. David is an attentive host.

Our recent stay at this apartment was disappointing, especially for a family. First, the location does not feel safe at night. There are many homeless individuals and intimidating characters loitering right outside the building entrance, including several people with full-body tattoos were there daily. The area is heavily patrolled by police, surrounded by bars and pubs, and we even saw solicitors standing in front of the property in the evenings trying to recruit “clients,” which was quite unsettling. Second, the apartment building itself is very old, and graffiti is common not just on the street but even inside the building. The elevator is extremely small, outdated, and quite claustrophobic, making it uncomfortable for families with kids. I was not able to carry more than one suitcase at a time...it's that small. You can smell fishy odor everywhere inside the building and elevator. Third, we noticed hate messages aimed at tourists carved or written in various spots, including on the elevator door (see the elevator door photo attached to this review) which made us feel unwelcome, scared and uneasy. It's pretty clear that the apartment residents don't want tourists. In addition, there is no convenient public transportation nearby, which makes getting around challenging if you don’t have a car. Parking is not available and I had to park away from the property and walk back in the night. Lastly, the apartment lacks a microwave, which is an amenity most Airbnb or Booking.com rentals typically offer (a small but meaningful inconvenience for travelers who want to heat up simple meals). Overall, I would not recommend this property for families due to safety concerns, the unpleasant environment, and the lack of basic amenities.
