Merzouga Spirit Luxury Camp

Our experience at Spirit Camp exceeded all of our expectations. We arrived at the parking area in the village, about 12 km from the camp, where we received a warm welcome from Josef. He shared information about the desert, the local culture, and the activities available, making us feel excited for the our stay. From there, we rode camels to the camp, a journey of about two hours. Along the way, we stopped on the highest dunes to watch the sunset it was a peaceful and unforgettable moment. When we arrived at the camp, we were welcomed with traditional Moroccan tea and delicious homemade cookies. Dinner was the best meal we had during our entire trip to Morocco. To make our evening even more special, the team surprised my girlfriend with a birthday celebration around the campfire, accompanied by traditional Berber drums, music, and dancing. It was completely unexpected and truly the highlight of our trip.

Qualité wifi

Facilities were there, very well thought of, despite the hardness of the location (desert). Staff were very helpful and willing to help, dinner was very tasteful and atmosphere in the restaurant was great. Breakfast was also very good and transfer to and from the location was a great experience too. Parking place to park our car at the village of Merzouga was also at a safe place.

Unfriendly welcome, no bottle of water in the tent, breakfast was poor with stale pastries and lukewarm coffee. Dinner was served late at 9pm and we weren’t advised. Very touristy so felt inauthentic.
