東京吉久花園旅館

Suitable for large group to stay together. Each bedroom has en-suite bathroom so it is very comfortable. It is in a quiet residential area but close to major station such as Nippori with the direct skyliner to Narrita airport. The host is very nice, responsive and hospitable.

The rooms are small, but it’s normal for Tokyo.

The manager was extremely friendly and allowed us to drop off our luggage off early. One of my sons speaks Japanese and was able to talk to him for us but the manager also used a translating app on his phone when he wanted to make sure we all understood. We are a family of 5 adults and we had 3 of the rooms in the property and sole use of the kitchen facilities for our stay. All the beds were very comfortable. The property was clean and every effort has been made to provide each room with it's own shower and toilet. The property is a convenient place to stay to explore Tokyo. We enjoyed walking through Ueno Park during the cherry blossom festival and visiting Ueno Toshogu. The property is located one stop from Nippori station and so was an ideal place to stay for our last night in Japan before taking the Skyliner from Nippori station to Narita airport.

The hosts have tried hard to make the property welcoming. I know this is a matter of taste but we found the large soft toys and plastic flowers on each bed and some of the additional artificial flower arrangements a bit excessive in rooms that are not particularly large. If we had stayed more than one night, these extra items would have been in the way. Some larger cups in the kitchen would be helpful too.

The owner was very kind and the facilities were excellent.

Very spacious for a group of 5! The decor was very cute ☺️
