Sand Dance Hotel

So check in was slow as no staff and all lights where off. Room was extremely small and looked as though it was due re painting. On check out had to wait long time again for staff as they decided they wanted to go for a shower. Nothing wrong with the hotel but just not good either. We changed hotel and stayed at Vartika hotel which was much better and actually had staff working.

09:50 AM I know this is a non Refundable reservation but after spending one night Im going to check out. We appear to be the only guests. Our room is on the 3rd floor with no elevator. I’m 72 years old so it’s a hike. I would have thought they would have upgraded us to a lower floor. The restaurant is closed so no breakfast or dinner. This hotel is in a remote area so not convienent to finding restaurants. I just want to bring these issues to your attention so that other travellers

I stayed at Sand Dance Hotel, which appeared new and comfortable at first glance. However, it quickly turned into one of the most unsettling hotel experiences I’ve ever had. On the night of our stay, we were the only guests at the property, which already felt odd. Around midnight, the entire electricity went out. What made things worse was that there was no one at the reception or any staff available to help us. Only one security guard was present, and he was clearly untrained and unsure of what to do. The hotel is located in a relatively isolated area, and without power, light, or staff, the situation felt extremely unsafe. There was no air conditioning, and most of us were young women traveling together, which made us feel even more vulnerable in such conditions. Out of concern for our safety, we even had to call the police, just in case something happened. We were forced to leave that same night, without proper rest or support from the hotel. We had to search for and pay for another hotel on short notice, which was both exhausting and frustrating. This kind of situation should never happen to anyone. No guest should be left completely alone, in the dark, without help, at a hotel they paid for. I am deeply disappointed and hope Agoda investigates this property thoroughly. Guests’ safety must come first.
