About this house rental
In the heart of Tauranga's peaceful countryside lies a treasure tucked away amidst lush greenery.This classic lockwood one bedroom home invites you to unwind and recharge in this peaceful location, cottage is located adjacent but completely separate to our family home on a 1.75ha property.
We invite you to walk to the nearby Puketoki reserve and enjoy nature close up along well marked walking tracks with its meandering streams , glowworms , small waterfalls and birdlife.
The space
A spacious living room that flows into an open-plan kitchen. Large windows fill the space with natural light.
The master bedroom has a queen bed, the lounge has a sofa bed and a dining table. There is a smart TV and. WiFi is provided, cellphone reception is patchy.
Fully self-contained, well equipped and comfortable. The kitchen includes an oven with a stovetop, a fridge/freezer and a microwave.
A bathroom with a bathtub, shower, toilet with a washing machine completes the space.
Guest access
The true charm of this AirBNB is outside, sit on the spacious covered porch and enjoy a cuppa while you watch the sheep grazing on the hillside.You have access to the whole property including the children’s play equipment and lawns .Our property is covered in mature trees which are home to a huge variety of birdlife. Take a walk through the fruit and vege garden and meet our friendly chickens and friendlier black labrador Holly.
Other things to note
For those wanting to explore beach activities, Omokoroa Beach is close and Mount Maunganui Beach is not far away .
Essentials like supermarkets, doctors, pharmacies and service stations are within a 5 to 10 min drive making this a great place to base yourself to explore the region.
For lunch ,Omokoroa is ten minutes away and has many options including The Address Indian kitchen, Musa Sushi and Japanese cuisine,
Omokoroa beach Pizza, Alma Eatery and the Skippers restaurant on the wharf.
Te Puna favourites, the Clarke Road Eatery, Nourish cafe, the White House restaurant and the Te Puna Deli are all within a 15 min drive.

Such a friendly and comfortable stay. Immaculate! Thoughtfulness, kindness & attention to detail made it so special. Our boys loved playing with your children & Molly, picking fresh raspberries & so much more. Sad we only stayed 1 night, but we will definitely try to come back. You are fantastic hosts.
