The Salty Sol house at Kiva Dunes

The house itself is absolutely beautiful and location is unbeatable. Quick access to a beautiful beach and exquisite views. Private pool with pool deck perfect for family of varied ages. Attention to detail was disappointing at the price point. For how much we paid I expected high end accommodations with no sparing of details. The kitchen was poorly stocked with absolutely no food storage options. There were not enough dishes for our family of 7 when the house is supposed to accommodate 12. The cookware was old scratched up teflon with burned and melted utensils. There were two can openers both stripped completely of their gears and unusable. The knives were dull with broken handles. The plates were plastic and scratched up from people using knives on them since there were no non-plastic. The kitchen was not clean with pot holders with old food on them and splashed food and coffee on the fronts of the cabinets. There was exactly one kitchen washcloth and one kitchen hand towel for our week stay. There were plenty of bath towels and I appreciated the small amount of toiletries available in each bathroom. There was a beautiful view from the top bedroom balcony overlooking the ocean but no chairs to sit on there. The same huge beautiful bedroom had an enormous closet without a single hanger to hang your clothes with. I was able to scrounge a couple of bent up metal hangers and a couple of plastic hangers from the other bedrooms. Probably wouldn’t stay again at that price.
