The apartment was comfortable and clean. The host were friendly and accessible. The fridge/freezer offered plenty of space. The air conditioning was great quality and easy to operate. The TV is a google one, and had YouTube, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. The pool was clean, a good size and not too busy. The gym was well equipped and clean. There were shops nearby or you can order anything through an app like Careem or Talabat.

We were expected to clean our own bed linen, whereas I would expect this to be changed weekly by the hosts. There was no mop and bucket when we arrived. We had to report it missing. It was replaced within 2 days. There was a grill pan, but no wire grill in it. It had no handle and there were no oven gloves. We had to buy kitchen towels. The balcony light didn't work and we couldn't get a plug into one of the plug sockets in the kitchen. The handles on two of the pans were loose, just needed tightening with a screw driver. The hosts were very good and I'm sure these issues would have been resolved had we reported them, however we didn't, and here's the reason why. We go on holiday to relax, and my expectation is that the hosts check that everything is in order prior to our arrival. We don't want to spend our holiday time reporting issues and waiting for them to be resolved. We worked around the issues and they didn't impact significantly on our stay. I think a welcome pack in the room would be helpful with details of where the garbage disposal room is, etc. There is a pass card for the gym, but again it wasn't obvious what this is for. The pack could also contain details of the nearby shops, delivery apps, etc. This is pretty standard practice in hotels/apartments I've stayed in before. These small issues are the only reason the property doesn't get a 10/10. I hope the hosts will take this as constructive feedback and ensure that more careful checks are made in the future and a welcome pack is provided. It's the attention to detail that takes somewhere from very good to exceptional. All in all though, the apartment is great value for money. Thank you Modern Stay Rentals for an enjoyable stay.
