Elise Apartments

The location is good, there is a 24/7 supermarket (Daves) nearby, which is a big plus. We could walk to ferry that goes to Valletta, to bus stops and to local areas. The flat is fairly equipped, has most of the essentials one would need during the stay. We had complementary bottle of water. The apartmentment had a hair dryer and an iron. The owners and receptionist were nice, and got us a new hair dryer, as the old one was malfunctioning.

The doors within the apartment were weird everywhere, as they would just smash against the wall by themselves and making the noise that way, both in bathroom and the bedroom. Maybe some of those rubbery things on the floor would improve the functionality and prevent this. Also, it would be maybe convenient to have more electric adapters, as 3 were not really enough for us. The electric outlet on the right side of the bed in the bedroom did not work properly, so, we had to charge devices on the side closer to the window. The balcony (backyard) is nice, though, we were getting cigarette buts and some pieces of food thrown to our yard from the upper floors.

very modern and clean, bed was big and comfy. Aircon was great. Location was excellent, five minutes walk from the buses in to Valleta.

Couldn't find much in the way of English speaking channels on the TV, but that was a minor niggle.

Good location. Spacious. Comfy bed ( hard but that’s how we like it). Nice terrace. Washing machine and washing powder (didn’t use but handy to have). Cooking facilities.

The noise carries over very much. After a day of intense walking and visiting just wanted to rest but different guest had an idea of drinking, playing music very loud and shouting a lot and they were few floors down! This carried on to early hours in the morning. Contacted the host who replied in the morning that she spoke to them- in fact the shouting stoped but music plied quite loud and could hear the conversation. So if you are have issues with sleeping it might not be the best option ( I used earplugs), but my parter eventually crushed an was not bother so it’s not a bad option if you sleep well 😊 Also could do with any cleaning products, only washing up liquid was provided, so if you want to cook and have a splash that’s your only option, the same for wiping table and cupboards.

the staff that works here is very friendly and nice especially the young man responsible for cleaning the rooms was always welcoming and kind despite being very busy. The apartment was perfectly clean and the kitchen well organised. Also it has a nice storage room with locks if your check-in or check-out doesn't match with the apartment timings, you can safely leave all your baggage and enjoy Malta freely. The position is very touristy so there are no supermarkets nearby, only very pricey convenience stores, nearest one is Lidl but it's like 20/30 mins walk.

When booking this apartment, I didn't know I'd get a very "fancy jail", all the four windows were facing a wall, not a country yard as the email said (even if I thought I'd have a balcony and was very happy about it) but literally a 7th floor long tunnel full of fans from the air conditioning of all the rooms, this means 7 fans under the 7 windows of the 7 bedrooms, this is probably not their fault but if you are sensitive to sounds and care about sleep hygiene, hearing 7 fans noises the whole night because you want to keep the window a tiny bit open to sleep with outside air it's not ideal and not healthy. Every time I went back to the apartment I felt anxious for all those noises and the fridge was also very loud and annoying, I might add that smoking inside is prohibited but I smelt smoke coming from other rooms, very annoying. Also the sofa was full of stains, gross, at least use a cover for it please.
