Golden Lotus Villas

The villa was fantastic. One of the most beautiful views we have ever had from a villa in Koh Samui, absolutely breathtaking. The villa itself is beautifully designed, very spacious, and offers many different areas to relax and enjoy the view. The team was excellent throughout our stay, always responsive, helpful, and quick to assist with any question or small issue.

The only thing worth mentioning is the road leading up to the villa, which is quite steep in some parts. However, the host informed us about this clearly before our arrival, so we knew what to expect

Le logement n’est pas très fonctionnel au niveau de la cuisine et l’emplacement (au sommet d’une colline) nécessite de bien penser ses déplacements forcément motorisés (surtout avec des enfants)

We had to pay extra electricity for 3 days we paid 1000TBH. It was in the discription on booking.

The villas themselves have a lot of positives. The views are fantastic, the accommodation is spacious, clean, and felt very safe throughout our stay. The location is also good, although visitors should be aware that the hill leading up to the villas is very steep and some scooters struggle to get up it. We found it easier to order a car using the Grab app when needed.

Unfortunately, a number of issues significantly impacted our stay. On arrival, we were initially sent to the wrong villa and had to move. We then had to move a second time due to further problems, meaning we changed villas twice during our stay. One member of our group experienced air conditioning problems in their room and had to move after two nights. During that period, the room was too uncomfortable to sleep in, and they ended up sleeping in my room until the issue was resolved (moved villa). There were also maintenance issues throughout the stay. A kitchen alarm continuously beeped throughout one night, making it difficult to relax or sleep, and although it was eventually fixed, it caused considerable disruption. At times the shower water was cold, and on several occasions, particularly in the evenings, there was little or no water coming from the shower or kitchen taps. The private pool was not immediately usable when we arrived and required treatment before it could be enjoyed. We also noticed a large number of ants around the pool area. Perhaps the biggest disappointment was the ongoing building work at nearby villas. Construction noise was frequent throughout the day, making it difficult to rest, relax, or enjoy the villa environment. We often chose to spend time at the beach simply to escape the noise. Overall, Golden Lotus Villas offers stunning views, spacious accommodation, and a secure setting, but the number of maintenance issues, room changes, utility interruptions, and nearby construction noise meant the experience did not meet expectations for a relaxing villa holiday.
