Stunning Terraced Apartment near the Sydney Opera House

Location was excellent. Short walk down stairs (lots of!) to Barangaroo Metro. 15-20 minute walk to Circular Quay in one direction and 10-15min walk to Darling Harbour in the other direction. Sandwich shop at the top of the road which sells all day and has lovely coffee. Convenience store about 10 minute walk down Kent Street.

No light bulb at the top of the stairs/entry way to apartment which was tricky at night. Have mentioned it to the owners who have it on their maintenance list to be fixed. Plenty of room for two people. Entry is by way of coded door lock which is great as you don't have to worry about losing keys! Communication from owners excellent

The location is perfect. It is at the top of the hill in the Rocks. The Barangaroo restaurants and Metro station are just a few minutes away down a set of steps to the west. The harbor and Opera House are a 15 minute walk to the east. There is a good pub (the Lord Nelson) close by, as well as several restaurants, including Fish at the Rocks which is quite good. The locale was quiet. It is possible to easily walk into central Sydney. The flat has been renovated nicely. The shower is excellent. The kitchen is adequately appointed with utensils and appliances. The only view is from the roof garden, with a nice vista of Walsh Bay.

The explanation of how to use the front door lock could have been better. We found, after some trial and error, that it requires one's hand to be placed entirely over the key pad itself. After entering the code, the knob can then be turned to enter. That procedure was not entirely clear to us. The couch in the living room was not particularly comfortable. The seat was too wide to allow a comfortable posture. The title of "Stunning" does smack a little of real estate-ese. The unit is very comfortable and clean and well appointed but "stunning" is a bit hyperbolic and can lead to unrealistic expectations.

Beds weren’t very comfortable….main bedroom the bed squeaked every time you turned over…second bedroom the bed was sloping to the edges…mattresses not comfortable….pillows were ok.

Great location and good modern facilities.

It wasn’t clean. Filthy stained rug in the lounge, dead cockroach in the bedroom and only one towel per guest. No hand towels.
