We especially loved the view and wrap around balcony. The room was large with a huge bed. Lots of natural light, good curtains for night-time. We had a spacious bathroom and also a separate kitchen/diner.
The owner was friendly and even gave some homemade toffee.
The spiral staircase was a little bit tricky to get up to with big bags but manageable.

Wow! Such a beautiful place. The host was really lovely and I just couldn’t get over the view! A nice surprise to see monkeys on the balcony in the morning 😊 I enjoyed the walk into Kandy and found it very easy to navigate.

This place has been our favourite accommodation in Sri Lanka. The views are amazing from the balcony, the family were all so kind and friendly and made sure we had everything to make our stay was perfect. As it was New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day in Sri Lanka they brought up so much traditional food (which was delicious) which was so kind also. The family really made this stay amazing and if I ever came back to Kandy I would only stay here.

The room is nice and spacious, it was clean, and the owners were respectful
We booked for the balcony but couldn’t use it; the owners warned us that local monkeys would grab our belongings. Between the constant vigilance required to keep doors locked and a long list of strict rules, the stay felt more like a job than a vacation.
The checkout is early (10:00 AM) with a strict 600 LKR hourly fee for staying late. Additionally, there are extra charges for basics like Wi-Fi and even additional toilet paper, which was already in short supply.
