Unsafe and Deceptively Marketed

I deeply disliked the properly believing that it was poorly designed and badly maintained. From a positive standpoint, the property did not appear to have any broken windows.

I arrived late at night due to delayed flights. The porch light was either burned out or intentionally disabled leaving the area around the house and porch dark and unsafe. Inside the house was the same, no lights were on and no easy way to find light switches resulting in me stumbling around in the dark until I could find my room and where the key lockbox was. Additionally, the pictures on the website appear to crop out the fact that the room is cooled by a single window A/C that has to run continuously in summer. The A/C unit was extremely noisy preventing me from sleeping and did little to truly cool the room. When I returned during the day to get my things, the room was boiling as the A/C struggled to keep up. The bed springs creaked so loudly that I am sure the other guests could hear it in their room. The room only had a single towel for the shower and another towel for my face. Could not find any replacements. Bathroom did not appear to have any handrails for someone to safely get in or our while ensuring they don't trip. Both front and backyard were in very rough shape and poorly maintained. Unit 3 room also had only a single overhead light controlled by a wall switch by the door. No reading light or anything softer than the blaring overhead ceiling light. Also, house uses forced air heating at room access is key controlled with the vent to unit 3 being next to the door and nightstand. It is very easy for someone to drop something down that vent, like their room key or something else. In my personal opinion, both the room I stayed and overall house are poorly designed and badly maintained to be a rental property for travelers. The house would be better suited as a long-term rental property for a family or possibly Section 8 housing.
