The Manor 1926

Did not try the breakfast or dinners as there are lots of eateries in Colombo and not enough time (& stomach space) to eat them all. Property is on the quieter side of town, which we prefer, as there isn't so much hustle and bustle, short tuk-tuk rides brought us to the places we needed to go, they were cheap and easy to get with ride hailing apps. Morning complimentary tea was always excellent. Manager Ruwan was lovely, as well as the female attendant who helped us with everything. They made our trip as we were celebrating a birthday while we were staying there and the team presented us with a lovely handwritten card as well as a basket of tropical fruit. Thank you! Plenty of additional blankets, a comfy room and bed, a fully stocked bathroom with toiletries, as well as a wonderful living area. TOverall it felt more of a serviced apartment than a hotel, as there are a multitude of appliances and furniture such as fridge, dining tables, sofa, television, cupboard etc. They do not allow visitors or parking inside as per policy but Ruwan was understanding when I invited a friend over for a tea and some conversation for a couple of hours.

Nothing much really. The property and team were excellent! Keep it up guys! The only thing I would change is that we need to ring a doorbell to get into the property, standing outside, and the attendant would come out and open the gate. It would have been great to get a key to come in on our own, as sometimes it rained when we were there.

L’accoglienza non ha eguali! Straordinaria! Appartamento bellissimo e molto pulito, disponibilità e cortesia che non si trovano quasi mai. Un amore per il proprio paese che viene condiviso anche con gli ospiti. Forse uno dei migliori soggiorni di sempre.

The Manor 1926這棟建築落成於 1926 年，曾是中國、日本…等外交官官邸。至今雖已百歲，但那厚達 26 英寸的磚牆、精緻的緬甸柚木門窗、窗戶上精雕細琢的銅桿，以及超高天花板，經過後代修復與重新演繹，如今已轉型為兼具昔日風華與現代舒適家居的高級旅館，處處可見用心與巧思。 主廚是一位已為歷代屋主掌廚40年的資深廚娘，旅館提供住客的經典斯里蘭卡餐點真材實料且十分好吃。

喜歡窗子很多又很大 但都用薄紗窗簾 雖然庭院極專屬走廊少有人走動 但感覺還是有點不自在
