Starfish Cottage

After reading some of the reviews we were skeptical. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised, its on 3 floors, all the rooms were clean, fresh and all the facilities you would need, with fridge freezer, microwave, toaster kettle, complimentary tea coffee etc. Smart tv with internet wifi connection in the lounge. Second floor has 2 bedrooms, one with twin single beds and the other with double, possibly king size bed, shower room with soap shower gell, towels etc. 3rd floor with large double/king bed free standing bath and separate wc and sink. No issues with shower or hot water. We would definitely stay here again as it so close (5min walk) to all areas in whitby. Recommended ☆☆☆☆☆

Nothing, its in a great location, clean and good value. It's rustic and an old cottage but the complaints in some of the reviews in our opinion are unfounded we recommend it

Looked very old and run down

Perfect location. Very cosy and home feel. Loved the beams and decor. Has everything needed for a stay and the rooms are comfortable and roomy. Loved the bath in the bedroom

Was a little tired with peeling paint and parts needing a good dust. But the good outweighs those points and we booked to return on our way home! The address was different on the confirmation text to the info from booking.com so went to wrong number first

The property needs A LOT of maintenance and additions - The shower was set on a lukewarm temperature. Definitely not hot enough for me - Bed was extremely uncomfortable, ended up sleeping on the sofa - no oven trays - paint peeling off the walls - chips on the walls - old and mould damaged mirror in bathroom - Internet doesn’t work unless the tv is on - some of the blinds were missing or were too short so had to put pillows against them - couldn’t lock the windows so could get in easily from outside
