Le Lampika Hotel

Tiny elevator. Tiny room. I mean barely enough space to walk around the bed. But clean. They have a roof top but the view is so so.

I booked Le Lampika as a last minute change of plans for my final night in Paris, the end of several long legs of traveling. I just wish I had discovered this hotel sooner, and had more time to spend there. Will absolutely be looking at them first for my next sojourn in Paris. The staff could not have been kinder and more welcoming. For those of us familiar with the ins and outs of third party booking sites, you'll know that sometimes the reaction you get at the front desk can be mixed. They were so kind to me from the moment I walked in the door, exhausted, frustrated off a late train from Bordeaux, subsequently with my french barely hanging on. They came and carried my truly massive bags up from the front door and shuttled them up the lift for me after they got me sorted with my room key (It's a charming, one person lift with maybe room for a backpack and a carry-on but not for an overstuffed checked luggage + an adult.) The room was spotlessly gorgeous with beautiful facilities, Nespresso in the room, a massively spacious bathroom, bathrobes and slippers and a generous serving of towels, plus a separate WC. The hotel room itself (the space around the bed, specifically) is maybe small by North American standards, but actually pretty generous by European standards. I found it to be enough space even with my several large bags, and as I say, the extremely generous spa-feel bathroom really sets the tone of the space as one to rest, relax, recharge. I have zero complaints with the room. Merci bien, merci *infiniment* Le Lampika, pour votre charmante hospitalite....c'est fera un veritable plaisir a la fin de cette voyage. As I said, really my only regret is not having more time to spend there. 10/10 will rebook.

Room was updated, shower was strong. Coffee pods and water included. The room is small so 2 people with bags is tight. I would be good for 1-2 nights or for 1 person. It was a bit far from the action but you are still by a bunch of restaurants and the train RER train station. I liked it bc I it saved money from airports and I walked , trained or used a cheap Bolt ride but I was there for an overnight layover and it was perfect for me. There are a lot of stairs and the elevator is one person only

Good location, smallish room, but it does the job. Great as a solo traveler room if you don't want to be in a hostel. If you are in Paris, you probably aren't spending much time in your room anyway!
