The property and location are beautiful and the rooms are lovely. Breakfast was delicious every day and the hosts are kind and helpful.

The shared kitchen space wasn’t as clean as it could have been and lacked cleaning products. The location was a bit difficult to reach by bus and uber.

Paradise!!

My stay here was so special! It’s a tranquil space up in the heart of the hills but the city is also easily accessible. Juju and her family made me feel at home from the moment I walked in. They were kind and attentive and so passionate about sharing their gorgeous home and lifestyle. The terrace and pool is a beautiful place to sit and relax and the room was gorgeous. My bed was the comfiest I had stayed in throughout my Brazil travels. Every morning I had the basic breakfast which was anything but basic. It was so delicious with lots of Juju’s homemade vegan goodies. They also have some really friendly animals there, their cat would sit with my whilst I had breakfast which made my stay extra special. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Mission recharging batteries accomplished :)

- Most comfortable bed I’ve slept in during my trip (memory foam pillows!!) - Insanely tasty and healthy breakfast - Little kitchen in the room, which is very cozy on rainy days - Friendly owners, who put a lot effort to make your stay comfortable - Hair dryer, mosquito net, water boiler, warm sheet, all there - Very cute and cuddly cats around - Close to nature but due to rain couldn’t experience much of it

- There was a power outage one day 10-17 pm, which was handled very well (I got some candles, phone for WiFi hotspot, I could use the gas cooker downstairs) - I personally would install a shower curtain and put a bath mat on the floor :)

True paradise in Rio!!

Incredible big vegan breakfast!! I’m not vegan but that breakfast made me feel like I could be! So delicious! A beautiful property and charming room! We ubered around instead of walking into Santa Teresa/other parts of Rio but it was nice to be out of the heart of the city! Would stay again in a heart beat - highly recommend!!

Little paradise in nature

LOVE everything! The kind people, the cozy environment, the location, the view, the fresh air. So so grateful for Terra and his hospitality! The room has everything you need, and such a relaxing place after a busy day in Rio. They are animal-friendly, cats-dogs. They are sweet. Great to walk to Santa Teresa center (during the daylight) its like 30 mins or just take a taxi. It is so much better to be a little out of the crazy center ;)

Chilled retreat just outside of the hustle and bustle of Rio

It’s rare to get a place that’s so chilled, vegan and the hosts were perfect and so accommodating The rooms had all you need It’s an amazing setting up above Rio that’s such a beautiful and unique place to stay Ubers were cheap and always available Breakfast was the best in Brazil!

Good place for a short stay

The place has a special charm and the hosts are wonderful and helpful. It is located in an area with great views surrounded by nature. It is a good place to stay for few days. We appreciated the help with the information we found in the room.

While the property has it’s charm, the room was a bit too outdated, smelled like mold and the windows were not closing properly. The cleanliness of the room, utensils and frigde (had a really bad smell inside) from the room was not great so this is something that can be improved. Also there is a plumbing issue which we thought is caused by the area, but we stayed in other places in Santa Teresa after and found out it’s not. Not a huge issue for us but also not a great experience. Also please keep in mind the ubers will cancel a lot and you have to plan ahead of you need to go somewhere.

This is a hidden gem for nature & city lovers alike and the food is outstanding. It’s a slice of heaven within the bustling city of Rio - I cannot wait to return. Staying with Lulu felt like more than just a getaway; it was an opportunity to connect, to learn her story, her dreams, and her passion for hospitality. And there’s no better way to do that than while floating in a pool, gazing out at the breathtaking views of Rio below. One of the highlights of my stay was the yoga brunch Lulu hosted—a gentle, restorative yoga class followed by one of the most incredible vegan meals I’ve ever had. Every dish was crafted with care, nourishing both body and soul. Lulu isn’t just a great cook; she’s an artist in the kitchen. As for the accommodations, my room was spotless, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. Every detail felt intentional, creating an atmosphere of calm and relaxation. If you're looking for a place that’s more than just a stay—but an experience—do yourself a favor and spend some time here. It’s a gift to yourself that you won’t regret.

During Carnaval, some Uber drivers are hesitant to pick up from here, but scheduling a ride in advance or retrying a few times usually works. This was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise incredible stay!

Un paraíso en las montañas dentro de Río

Soulrebel Rio es un oasis de paz en medio de la selva de Tijuca, en pleno Río de Janeiro. Me alojé en el apartamento de arriba y es inmenso. Preciosamente decorado. Nunca olvidaré desayunar un rico desayuno vegano viendo los pájaros sobrevolando la selva y las montañas. Ese es el verdadero lujo para mi. Además, Juju y su marido Ariel son personas adorables, muy respetuosas, que te hacen sentir como en casa en todo momento. Tuvimos conversaciones muy interesantes, y seguro que volveré a alojarme con ellos!

Me gustó todo. Eso sí, si vienes aquí, ven sin prisa, con la intención de desconectar, y sin tener muchos planes que hacer en la ciudad. Si vienes solo 3/4 días a Río y quieres hacer turismo y tener una vida social muy activa (comer en Ipanema, pasar la tarde en Pan de Azúcar, cenar en Lapa, etc.), entonces quizás sería recomendable alojarte en zonas menos apartadas, ya que llegar y salir del alojamiento en taxi/Uber (está arriba de una montaña) toma su tiempo.

ESATTAMENTE IL POSTO IN CUI DOVEVO ESSERE

Non credo possa esistere posto migliore dove poter soggiornare, è come arrivare dall'altra parte del mondo e sentirsi subito a casa! L'accoglienza a dir poco attenta, ogni cosa è studiata nei minimi dettagli, ma cosa più importante la buona energia che si sente in questo luogo è qualcosa che raramente si prova quando si soggiorna da qualche parte. anche se può risultare lontano dal centro io non ho mai riscontrato alcuna difficoltà nel reperire Uber per spostarmi. Sicuramente se dovessi ritornare a Rio questa sarà nuovamente la mia prima Scelta, e sono certa che ci ritornerò presto! per me oramai è un posto del cuore! <3

A acomodação fica em meio à natureza, um lugar bonito, gostoso, para quem quer descansar. Estava tudo como no anúncio e fotos. O café da manhã vegano é muito bom, tudo fresco, os anfitriões gentis, a Ju é muito solícita. O que mais gostei foram os pets, gatinhos e cachorrinhos.

Nada a reclamar. Só a localização não é muito favorável para fácil locomoção, mas com paciência, pedindo Uber/99 com antecedência deu certo.

Os anfitriões muito hospitaleiros. O café da manhã vegano estava uma delicia! Além disso tem vários bichinhos soltos pelo hotel, todos muito fofos e carinhosos. Wifi funcionava bem e a cozinha muito bem equipada.

Não tem telvisão no quarto mas acho também que a proposta de ir para lá não tem esse foco. Não tem nada perto para ir a pé mas a região e linda e muito arborizado

Lugar lindo de paz, check in e check out facilitados, cachorrinhos fofinhos te recepcionando e beleza em cada detalhe

A localização não me favoreceu para o meu planejamento, precisava pegar ubers noturnos e tive inúmeros cancelamentos, muitos não queriam subir o morro a noite (justificativa que eles mesmo deram para nós). Apesar disso tudo é impecável, de dia você consegue pegar qualquer Uber com muita tranquilidade. Nada a reclamar da hospedagem! Custo benefício!
